Are there any snowboarding games playable on vita?
Watching the olympics right now and totally in the mood for some snowboarding

Smart As is great. Really glad it was a Plus freebie, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I'm currently just grinding out my last two trophies, 100 days and all games on Genius. Bought it on launch here in the EU, shame more people didn't get it as my friends list has been pretty empty to compare scores.

Need a little psn tech help here. My psn ps4 download speeds are incredibly slow.

My main problem is that I'm in Beijing china but I just ran a speed test and got 35 Mbps down. And yes, I'm wired.

Is there any way to speed up the connection? I've tried google open DNS to no avail.

The US blog looks nothing like that, luckily.

US blog has 7 visible headlines on the first page at 1080p. http://i.imgur.com/TsKePRq.jpg
EU blog has 2 and a half. http://i.imgur.com/X2cH8Av.jpg

I liked more the old EU PSBlog and always hated the US structure. It's not like I visited it a lot but...

DW Next is fun. I don't get why people don't get the duels. Outside my mother thinking I'm having an epileptic attack while using the touch controls I had 0 problems. Generally speaking I like the touch minigames.

playing through remote GoW2 has those framedrops too? man , thats bad. For me it looks great and playable. So im gonna buy it for sure.

Well, with remote play the framerate is halved at 30 fps, meaning that if this collection runs at a higher framerate and doesn't have the input lag that comes with remote play then it's definitely better.

It's $5.99. Great price for an overlooked gem of the PSX era. If you do get it, I'd recommend playing as Rue first. Mint is a great character and has an entertaining journey, but some of the major plot points have way more impact if you're playing as Rue. I also feel like the shapeshifting mechanic makes him more interesting to play as, whereas Mint's magic makes things a bit easier. With Rue, you pick up tokens from fallen enemies that add them into your shapeshifting roster. You can only care a few, though. Pick up a new token and you'll lose an earlier one. Different monsters have different advantages; some are good for platforming, others combat, and there are puzzles that will require certain types (flying, fire-breathing, etc.).

I've only played a handful of minutes when it originally came out but it always struck me as a spiritual successor to Brave Fencer Mushashi. Is there anything to that initial assessment?

The new EU blog is worse than the old but certainly not as terrible as the US blog. I don't know why everyone has to design their blogs to look fancy instead of functional.

The duels just aren't any fun, they're way too repetitive and slow. I use the same tactic on all enemies and still win. If the fights were shorter I might have enjoyed them more. Some of the minigames aren't too bad, but I hate the ones that use gyro.

But it's a really fun game that everyone should play.

So I see yesterday was a big Vita day...

Did they say anything about memory cards at all? Like prices or the 64 GB card still not being available over here?

Seriously. Even fucking Tumblr does it now. Give me my blogs straight up newest articles at the top, older articles directly below. The SEN web store is also a janky piece of shit.

That would increase the Vita's popularity and give it a positive brand image, so of course they didn't.

BTW, what's the general consensus among you guys regarding the OLED vs LCD on the two Vita's. I just bought an OLED Vita 1000, but I have 45 days to return it. Do you think I should?

OLED is definitely more colorful, but from what I've heard people are overstating the inferiority of the LCD, and it's still a great screen. Plus, slimmer build and more battery.

OLED wins generally. Don't return it because it will soon be discontinued and you'll miss out on dat OLED glory.

If OLED isn't really to your taste and better ergonomics and battery life is what you want then get the LCD model.

No Vita version = I'll never actually try Minecraft, even though I own it on iOS and PS3 (my daughters play it). Anything even approaching time sink status won't get a look in on the TV, and I don't do iOS games.

EDIT: I should clarify, I don't do touch games that need buttons.

I like my OLED Vita and wouldn't want to exchange it for the LCD Vita but the LCD screen of the new Vita is far from bad and if 1 hour more battery life and the other slight improvements are more important to you than the screen you can't do anything wrong with the new Vita,

It's two stories that intertwine. If you pick Mint in the beginning, you play as a spoiled princess who seeks a wish-granting relic to usurp her older sister and take over the world. Pick Rue, you'll play as a mysterious boy who wants to use the relic to bring back his dead friend Claire.

The characters play fairly different. As Mint, you'll use two large rings for (weak) physical attacks and more powerful magic projectiles. As Rue, you'll use an axe and his ability to shapeshift into monsters you've defeated. As both characters, you'll have to use your unique skills to solve puzzles and traverse 3D environments.

It's a really great action-RPG, and possibly my favorite game on the PSX. I played it again recently on the Vita, and I really feel like it's held up. The combat may be fairly simple, but the dialogue, characters, music, and art make it worth playing today.

Thank you for this tip, made me finally choose to get it and I've been loving it so far, don't know how I missed it on PS1, gotta Brave Fencer Musashi vibe

is that the first visual novel on vita being localized?

Umm... Virtue's Last Reward? Danganronpa? both are visual novels with a little something to keep it fresh.
Though I am losing hope for NIS' own visual novel to get an English translation.

Where can I get some good vita wallpapers? I haven't updated any since the launch...
Our forum have its own thread for this. I even use some of the designs there.
