Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Why is he holding the bat with the right hand? :(

It's the way baseball players swing a bat, the dominant hand goes on the top, and they swing across the body, usually ending with just the bottom hand on the bat, try to replicate a swing and you'll understand

Edit: Imagine this motion finished and it'll match what Link's doing

Gorilla's don't baseball.

I hope every character has their eyes bug out like that, lol.

And while I'm not really interested in Skyloft at all, I gotta say I like those platforms. :)

If every character is going to have their eyes comically popped out...
God bless this man, damn it.

Also, Toon Link takes shit from no one confirmed:

Wow, I love the Home Run Bat's new look! Great pic.

Also, the fact that it's DK getting swatted away in the pic before DKC: Tropical Freeze's release has to be an intentional wink by Sakurai. Diddy incoming tomorrow!

Now what's this people keep saying about two pics today?

EDIT: Never mind, just saw the second pic. Link's being a real creeper up there at the top...

In the comments section of Miiverse, where the second pic always is.

Wrong pic. Check out foxuzumaki's post just above.

Olimar has seriously been in the least amount of daily pics relative to when he was announced. It makes me sad.

Hm, let's see here. Counting regular daily pics and character reveal collections, but not counting the initial reveal shots (tallying them individually), regional sources (e.g. German or UK Facebook pages - only those that were posted on smashbroscom) or promotional art/posters, the characters appeared in this many screenshots:

Mario: 42 (+28 initial reveal shots)
Link: 36 (+15 initial reveal shots)
Luigi: 30
Peach: 28
Mega Man: 27 (+17 initial reveal shots)
Toon Link: 25
Fox: 23 (+18 initial reveal shots)
Wii Fit Trainer: 23 (+14 initial reveal shots)
Olimar: 22
Rosalina: 22
Samus: 22 (+22 initial reveal shots)
Villager: 22 (+14 initial reveal shots)
Marth: 21
Sonic: 20
Pit: 18 (+12 initial reveal shots)
Zelda: 17
Donkey Kong: 17 (+14 initial reveal shots)
King Dedede: 16
Kirby: 16 (+20 initial reveal shots)
Lucario: 15
Pikachu: 15 (+18 initial reveal shots)
Bowser: 13 (+19 initial reveal shots)

(included today's pics btw)

That's give or take a few (i.e. I might've miscounted somewhere, but I did go over the shots multiple times to make sure it didn't happen).

Would say that your statement is not entirely correct, since there's some characters that have been in less shots than Olimar and were revealed longer (as far back as initial reveal).

Note that I said 'daily pic', counting all images in the link in the OP to the old pics. Maybe not the least, but close to it.

You forgot Palkia as PokéBall on Feb 5th

That is an... interesting design for the Home-Run Bat. I dunno, I kinda liked it when it was just a silly wooden bat, but...

I really hope those bugged-out eyes are present for every especially-strong attack, ideally happening with the same attacks that cause the alternate "sent flying" voice clip present in Melee and PM.
