PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

What's this I'm hearing about DanganRonpa being next week??

Anybody want to add me so I can compare my awful Spelunky runs? ID is my username.

Are we psn pals? If so I'll add you next time. that game makes me realize what it's like to have a compulsive-obsessive disorder

Can anyone help me with this?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ECQIYR4/

i want to buy the hardened version. i just need to be sure i can use the digital dlc codes on my dutch account since this is the uk version of the game.

also can i upgrade this to the ps4 version from the dutch store?

I don't know the answer to either, but maybe this will help: if the DLC codes are not compatible with your dutch account you could create a UK account on your system, redeem the codes and still play with your dutch account. This works fine for PS3 and PS4 games, just not Vita, where you must play with the same account that redeemed the code.

As for the upgrade, the PS3 digital code for Ghosts sold by Amazon in the US can't be upgraded on the PSN store. I don't know if that's the case in Europe as well, but you may want to double check with Amazon and/or Activision.

Destiny of Spirits and No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either!

Two free2play games that I've never heard of? I can barely contain my excitement! SCEA is truly blessing the Vita with quality titles.

In all seriousness, the Vita deserves a better father than Sony. This is getting ridiculous.

The premises of those games are quite nice though especially with the puzzle one. You're basically the bad guy and you use your fodders to kill the heroes before they can come at you. There's a game on the PSP that's very familiar with this game. On that one game you have to build a dungeon so that the heroes will die on the way to you. I think they're the same developer but I'm not sure. It's really fun though. Kinda like the Deception series.

Lmao what?

Vita has an awesome year lined up

http://www.reddit.com/r/vita/wiki/games/releases/dates/fullna

What are you complaining about again?

That is not the Vita lineup for this year. Mighty No. 9 we know for a fact is not coming this year I thought?

Anyway, some of it looks good. I'll get Demon Gaze and any of the good JRPGs (doesn't look like many) and hopefully type-0 gets localized. Not too impressed by a huge list of indies that will probably perform worse than they do on PC/console.

I just want more good, quality games that I can't get a better version of somewhere else like Toukiden and Tearaway.

Why would Indies "probably" perform worse? Many have come out and said directly that they have enjoyed success on the platform.

I think its a mistake to write off indie games.

That said many of the BIG titles will probably still come from Japan. Outside of HD collections and the odd One Off titles like Tearaway I wouldn't expect much from the AAA space outside of maybe a few more Ubisoft titles (they support everything).

That said I would keep a close eye on

- The rapid growth of the Indie space. They continue to make bigger and better games as the studios grow and gain experience. The lines are blurring.

- Freedom Wars. This is shaping up to be a BIG title from what I have seen. Its Japanese but SONY is developing it.

With Remote Play and Playstation Now we will likely only continue to see Niche titles developed solely for the Vita but you never know.

I don't give a fuck about the sales man, I'm talking about the technical performance of the game. Why would I buy a sub-30fps port of Dustforce when I could play it at a solid 60 on my PC? Framerate makes a world of difference in a tough platformer. Hotline Miami 2 will be good on Vita I'm sure but I could get it on my PC with better controls. Why would I buy the GoW PS2 collection when I could play them on my PS3 with better visuals and framerate? The list goes on. If that kind of stuff impresses you, that's fine by me and I'm not telling you you're wrong or dumb for liking it. That kind of stuff is also a major reason on why the Vita is selling like shit. I love the Vita hardware and I'd like to see it sell better so we can get more games akin to what the PSP was getting. Syphon Filter games, GTA games, Final Fantasy games, original Metal Gear games, etc.

Different generation, different landscape

Lets support that which is positive about the system. Can't expect this thing to be treated like a PSP as much as we would want it to be.

Plus many of the compromises you list, while they do exist, come with the added benefits that the Vita has. Mainly portability, suspend, Party Chat etc...

Vita allows me to play games since I hardly am ever able to play in front of a TV much anymore. Clearly if you mainly play on PS3/PS4 there is no reason to snag a Vita unless you value the features it offers.

Enough with the tired beating of the dead horse "lack of AAA/PSP support" arguments. They have been dealt with a million times over already. Accept the Vita for the awesome system it is or sell the damn thing

Why would anyone buy games on Vita that aren't 60fps or native

I don't. They're being lazy, they should have worked harder.

Destiny of Spirits renders any anti-vita argument mute, absolutely loved the beta and just want a bloody release date already.

@stfuppercut
You mention one of the only indie games that are actually inferior on Vita,(and technically not an indie on consoles) all other are just as good on Vita, and to some better.

If it's any consolation Stfuppercut, there are maaaaaany indie games that I simply wouldn't play on PC. The Vita's accessibility, suspend, mobility and color range make it ideal for me to play certain genre's of games. 2D Platformers for example aren't really something I'd sit down to play at a computer. Or JRPG's, as I personally enjoy grinding, but it's not something I need to focus 100% on, it's just better (for me) to do that on the Vita. The vita to me actually seems catered to that "indie experience" if you will. I've enjoyed playing them on that much more than I have on the home console or pc.

But different strokes for different folks I reckon.

Its a mixed bag

Depends on the developer

Capcom clearly dropped the ball with Dustforce port. I wonder what team handled the Vita Version

Vita has no games
Past June

Does anyone know what time the PS4 uploads your saves to PS+? On PS3 you could set the time in Settings on when you wanted it to do those things. I just checked my Uploads and the last one was on Sunday!:/

I left my PS4 in Standby last night and today I checked to see if my saves have been uploaded (this has worked in the past). They should appear in the Uploads section of Notifications, right?

Stop forcing your choice/opinion on the others.

I would say the same for the uppecut guy, but he's already on my ignore list.

QLOC. I don't think they have a twitter.

And we don't know if the game is even that good optimized on PC. My old PC don't run it on 60FPS, for example, while it runs Lords of Shadow 2 with 60FPS.
