Good luck and have fun! I have to say, in my current relationship I kind of made an off hand comment at one point about being a "proud boyfriend" and it was as if she was just waiting for me to say it. That made it official, even though we were pretty much already there.
Have you started to get more physical yet? That's a pretty sure sign that things are headed in the right direction too.

I"d say just be patient and keep moving ahead. Sounds like you'll have to be the one to make the moves though. At least until after you move more into the physical territory. By the way, what concert are you seeing? As a fellow Austenite (at least for one more week!), I'm just curious.

Shearwater and Jesca Hoop. Not what I'd normally go to see but I like both artists pretty well and needed to do something with her other than restaurants and movies

Yeah, I know what you mean. Many of those Middle Eastern/ Asian girls do look so beautiful. But from my experience, if one allows herself to be dated by someone of her own religion/ race, she is datable in general if views don't clash too much.

Hey guys I've been lurking around here for a while getting tips and finding out what to do and what not to do when dating. I've never really been looking into dating because 1: I can't approach and 2: Won't keep a conversation going with women who do approach even though I might be interested to sum it up I'm sometimes shy and awkward but that's just me. I have been working on it for a few months though so thanks dating GAF for giving me the spirit.
So following this thread recommendations for online dating I made an OK Cupid account. Needless to say the thing felt like a Christmas party at Jabba the Hutt's, what planet did these girls come from? My parents taught me to never judge a person on their looks but that was way over the top. Anyway I deleted the account and moved on to Match.com.
Match.com seems to match people with similar interests better, from the two or three profiles I browsed it seemed it did but I'm still skeptical this being my first time trying out online dating, well really just making a profile. So in an hour or so with a few pictures and some profile information I've received a few winks and two messages.
I guess my question to GAF is if they've tried Match and is it worth it paying $70 bucks for 3 months?

Just in case someone actually remembers and cares for my 'story', after about a month of staying out of each other's way except for friendly talk every now and then, we visited the zoo yesterday and had a great time Lots of little contacts, some of them which aren't what "pals" would do (at least usually) and others would call pretty romantic. Hands holding, walking arm in arm, bit of cuddling. Never know with that girl tho 
Got a good feeling right now, maybe not listening to GAF will pay off in the end. Maybe not. But hey, what a rollercoaster ride all of this is, mah gawd, and right now it's rather fun.

Oh god. This sounds exactly like what happened with a girl who fucked me up in the head royally. Hell, I even posted about her in dating-age several times. This was over a year and a half ago. She's still in my head, and I have a girlfriend.

EDIT: Answer questions in small doses (ex. 10 at a time) and then leave the profile for a bit. Come back an hour later and see what happens. Once you answer too many just clear the answers and do it again. This is literally all I do on OKC, I almost barely message girls. Keep me updated of progress.

Awesome! Glad you had a good time. It sounds like things are proceeding nicely. No need to rush the physical stuff if you're happy with the pace.
I love holding my girl's hand. We do it all the time when we're out and about or even just driving in the car.

Had an incredible night last night. A girl I've been seeing invited me over to make some food and watch a film. Ended up spending the night at her place. Now she seems to be really into me and this is like the best part of a relationship. The ecstacy of the beginning stages. We've only seen four times but it feels so natural to be with her.

Pretty much. Not liking yourself means you're not confident. And that's a turn off to all women. Better to fake it until it becomes real than openly express doubts about yourself. That's why I was telling grap3 to stop posting negatively about himself before anything else. Can't make progress 'til that happens.
