Figure GAF |OT| Where has all of my money gone?

Man my Mandarake order left Japan, got to America, went through customs and arrived at my house all before the thing I bought on MFC has even shipped.

Im giving her a few more days then im filing with Paypal.

ugh bummer. I received the 1/7 Catherine I ordered from a MFC user in perfect shape quickly and it's the genuine article. That said I don't think I would feel good about buying from MFC again unless I was desperate to get a particular fig.

This is the user I bought from http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/Spillane , he's selling most of his collection.

I bought my Villetta Nu from a user on MFC. They provided a ton of pictures when asked and she arrived quickly/packed well. I guess I got lucky, but it was a good experience.
 
depends on the user. Starshippooper ( i think thats his name) is legit. Dude literally has like 2k figures. LOL

Just gotta check posting habits, and how active they are and if others had experience dealing with them.

I have bought a few things on there, never had a problem till now.
mostly just cheap Figma though, the prices are normally about equal to Mandarake and such but without the shipping.

Bought Kryska from Muv-Luv for $30 shipped.

I've bought a couple things from MFC and had no problems. It's where I got my Viletta Nu for less than half the price of eBay. I've also sold a couple things on there.

Always use PayPal, and never let anyone talk you into sending the money as a "Gift" - as you lose all buyer protection from eBay. I've used it before (not from MFC transactions), and it's usually resulted in a satisfactory resolution.

Well interestingly I was right. Mandarake just sent a new email and it linked to payment page where I was finally able to input a card number and payment info. Mandarake must have multiple methods of payment depending on the type of item or whether its preowned or somethi ng. Very odd.
But at least its paid for now.

its prob not that. Its prob licensing. Miku racing isn't anywhere close to 10k. Nor is several other figures as well. The figma are high price but thats due to other things

Maybe I'm nuts, but I don't see KanColle deserving that kind of premium. Orchid Seed's 1/6 Sonico was 2k less, and I'd say she has greater brand recognition.

No, I kinda get it. I mean it's crazy-popular in Japan, and I only expect it to get to AoT-levels once the anime starts.

depends on licensing and the amount of shit is on that 1/8. Not all 1/8 are equal.

The sonico example doesn't really work since 1) sonico has been a figure throughout the years and to just hike the price would be stupid. 2) Kancolle or whatever its called has never been a scaled figure and is a new fad.

You can bet the new AoT figures will be a lot as well. They were already 4k for the figmas (to be fair they did come with tons of shit). I'm not trying to justify the price but I can see why it is that high. I won't be buying it.

Meant it as a semi-joke, but thinking over it, I'm convinced it's the cannons (and licencing, to a lesser extent). lol They're like a second figure and I'd think would take as much effort as one, not that removing them and cutting the price in half would make me buy that. Pose is eh, as Ken said.

No. No they aren't. They're a glorified accessory. I'm sure it's the licensing that's driving the price up. I didn't even have to think about this one, though. Sure she's cute, but I just have no interest in KanColle.
