Naruto (GEM) arrived on yesterday, the coat is so hard to take off and put on, will just keep him like this as its his best pose, and all the faces, will keep this face too. I love how there are parts to swap out and etc, real good.

Also, I think I'm starting to weaken on the Shimakaze pre-order. I know, given her popularity, that she won't hit the bargain bin after release, and the latest pictures from Kahotan's blog is really beginning to sell me on her.

Yeah. Estellise from Alter. Brand new. It wasn't anything major but the tip of her left shoe was broken off.

The white tip and golden wings of the boot were completely broken off. Super glued it back on and it's drying now.

It was EMS too. Seems this is all on Alter's behalf since a lot of people in the MFC comments section seem to had various parts of her broken as well.

1) Hanekawa phone attachment thing '
2) CC leg (but it was more like their wasn't any glue...)
3) Dead master horn (but it feels like a qc issue since I can just plug it back in and it holds, you can't even tell its broken)

I wonder if I should email GSC regarding dead master...doubt I would get anything since 1) I got it from mandrake and 2) its an old figure

This reminds me of the Vash [Kotobukiya] figures arriving to people broke in-half. Something to do with him not being secured properly in the package resulting in the lower half separating from the upper. Thankfully mine arrived fine, but things like that are definitely scary to see, especially when you pay so much for a "new" item.

If it was something major like the whole head, I would have. The foot was easily fixable, so I won't go through the hassle of having to convince Amiami and Alter it broke before I got it and having to ship it back to Japan.

That sucks. I haven't had issues with figures arriving damaged, yet. But I've certainly refrained from ordering a figure here and there based on MFC comments.

GEM series has been good to me. Can't wait for Morg and the rest of the Generation of Miracles. Would be nice to get Jindhar and then Kiyoshi Teppei and Himuro.

I haven't pre-ordered her yet, and I still likely won't. I'm just more...inclined to do so than I previously was, but it's still not a "yes". The only thing that's really stopping me, and the majority of people I'm sure, is that price. I also don't know what else is scheduled for release later in the year, so I want to keep my pre-order window open.

I don't know what it is about Shimakaze that interests me so much [no, it's not what you think]. I'm thinking it's the expression, or the combination of colors. Maybe it's that adorable tower of Rensouhou-chan's? Not sure, but I do like her.

thanks! my figure collection is pretty small actually since I'm not daring enough to buy all the ones I want and most of my hobby money goes into gunpla. at the moment I just own Alter's Mio and Kongiku, Max Factory's Miku tony ver. (which I ended up not liking that much D, and a hot toys iron man. oh, and a bunch of nendoroids too.

I don't know much about Gunpla, or the Hot Toys items, but Kongiku is a great figure. Kamitani-san definitely does some impressive artwork.

be careful about mio. Her pegs are prone to breaking. Easy fix tho with super/model glue.

Certainly, but at that point I still wouldn't buy her. Just because I'd buy a figure for 4k doesn't mean I'd buy it for 4k plus another 4k for shipping.

Was Inori really EMS-only? I almost bought her a few times, I'd have been pissed to discover she was EMS-only.
