Man, the more I think about it the more I would really love Robin the Avatar being the new F.E rep. It makes so much sense but with WFT & villager and probably the Mii, that sounds like enough avatar characters. Props on that amazing excitebiker move set brainstorming session, btw. By far my favorite retro pick , with Takamaru being my favorite retro revival pick.
Lin too because she's the superior Advance Wars: Days of Ruin character.

But really what kind of Mega Man music do you guys expect?
I hope we get less of the Rock and Metal songs and get more songs in line with Roll's Theme, Kaze yo tsuaete and songs from Mega Man Legends.
I really like the Marvel Vs Capcom and Tatsunoko vs Capcom Mega Man themes and I hope they rearrange those.
Wily Stage is definitely making it, but there should be more of a variety rather than just OG Mega Man music.

Well to be fair she is the superior Advance Wars character and could be a good replacement for Snake should he be cut. She literally look like she's out of Metal Gear Solid and she can rock Snake's moves like a fucking boss.
Plus her character design is great.
I would like to have Andy/Rachel/Sami too. Need more Advance Wars.

I bet it will mainly be OG mega man stuff since it is the most well known, but I could see some mega man X songs getting rearranged too. (I HOPE)
My fix was a superior fix mind you.
We need more plausible, secondary characters like Tiki and Lin instead of the same old top picks to be honest.
That's just my opinion.

The only character I really want in is Palutena because I'm trying to stay real, but if I had to really go into DREAM territory.

After playing Awakening, best Fire Emblems are the JP only ones.
Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyū~ , Thracia 776, Genealogy of War, and worldwide Rekka no Ken, Sacred Stones. Path of Radiance.
Advance Wars, just play all 4 handhelds, Advance Wars, Black Hole Rising, Dual Strike, and Days of Ruin.
Tiki ain't dream territory and is completely plausible :[
We need more green hair characters and a female Fire Emblem rep.
Tiki meets both requirements with a dragon moveset and a magic one. She's like the fanservice version of Ridley and Tharja in one.
Tiki > "Robin" because Robin is called MyUnit in Japan and because the character is depicted as robed and hooded. They're meant to represent you as you play through their eyes. You're Robin.
Villager is different because that's the design used in actual promo work.

I really doubt that these two beloved characters will be playable in SSB4.
For shulk, I think Xeno-series still need a few more games to be relevant as a Nintendo-owned franchise. Also Sakurai must be controlling numbers of swordsman characters. Being an AT or having a Xenoblade stage are more likely to happen.
As for Wonder Red, the development schedule of TW101 & SSB4 makes him impossible to join the roster.

Alternatively, Sylveon's a good choice for a new playable Pokemon too. Long-Mid-range fighter due to its feelers.

I don't really think this is a factor. We have a Pikmin 3 stage and a Sonic Lost World stage.
Well Ashley and Skull kid kinda were the first casualties. Ridley's next obviously.
Pac Man after, wait jk he won't be in the game. Sorry not a fan of new design Pac Man or any of his platforming games after the original arcade game.
Don't forget X & Y Pokemon.

Ashley had 2.53%, Skull Kid had 5.89%, while Waluigi had 32.77% (almost as much as Lucario's 36.14%!)

Sooo basically Syrup and the rest is just icing. The more I think about it though the more I can see her falling into the AT category, maybe riding in one of her flying contraptions throwing bombs at everyone for a while. I also wouldn't mind having Lucina instead of Chrom, as long as we get a new FE rep I'll be satisfied with FE's representation in Smash. I wouldn't be surprised if Palutena is in at this point and I feel like her staff will make her instantly unique and fun to use. I'm still rooting for Ridley but the Ridley part of the cycle is starting to get to me :3 Impa would be a great fighter and her SS incarnation not only looks the part that ninjitsu she has could make for a great character and sets her a part from Sheik.

I don't think either Shulk or Wonder Red have a chance. Dixie isn't a given, but it could happen. Same with Pac-Man. The only one that I would bet my money on is Palutena. She's definitely in it, it's a no-brainer.
Other than that, I'm having a hard time thinking of more obvious choices. I am bound to be surprised if we have more than 5 newcomers left.

Syrup would be neat. I'd take a Wario Land Shake it stage for sure.

But that's just stages, Olimar & Sonic are both veteran. They didn't even use Alph as character. A TW101 stage will be great tho.
Possible new characters I can think about are Hades, new FE character and Pacman though I don't like his 3D model. Maybe one WTF character form Rhythm heaven, lol.
I dunno...well out of The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Xenoblade his chances are the best. Ill take the wait and see approach on this one.
Shake It stage? It would be something if the stage was also hand-drawn. lol but yea I'd like to see another Wario stage.

Nah I was thinking Ridley's final smash will let out a scream that sends all players into a PTSD shock that paralyzes them all.

And had the game like hand drawn. Nintendo is just weird and I guess the opportunity didn't come up yet because they had Good-Feel work on it. Interesting enough they also work on Kirby's Epic Yarn and is said to be working on that Yarn Yoshi thing according to Wiki.

i don't so much have wanted newcomers as much as wanted fighting/playing styles. Give me a wrestler (hawlucha preferable) and a melee fighter with reach but that needs to keep his distance with either a staff or lance/javelin (yes i realize marth is a spacing character as well but i'm sick of sword users). Another magic user would be sweet ad well. While we're at it let's throw in a superior air fighter that struggles on the ground to be the anti-little mac. Fill in those fighting styles with whatever characters you see fit.
