Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Out of curiosity, which characters have good approach moves competitively? I want to say Marth b/c of his speed+damage is greatest at the tip of his sword, but I'm not too well versed here

And you'd be right about Marth. Basically any character with high priority, fast aerials. Fox, Falco, Marth, Diddy, I think. Others would be able to name more. I have a headache and can't think right now.

Simply giving yoshi the ability to jump out of shield would've bumped him up to around high tier in Brawl.

That's his one, huge, glaring flaw.

And no, he's not 50/50 with metaknight.
That's wishful 2008-thinking

Marth is one of the easier characters to pick up and play, yeah, but I find he's definitely one of the hardest characters to be competitive with.

If you ever start to panic or get frustrated, Marth rapidly starts becoming a mediocre character. A good mindset and spacing is everything, and that extends far further than just knowing where the tipper is on each of his attacks. Marth does have some nice easy-going-ness on some attacks though, like F-air, Dolphin Slash and Dancing Blade.

I personally find Brawl Kirby one of the easiest characters to pick up and play that has a lot of rewards. He's a very well made character.
