I know this isn't likely, though
There's only one way to solve this conundrum and that's by giving Smash Wii U a mine cart stage. Spirit Tracks stage, meet your counter-part

The environmental art in Tropical Freeze is so good, I'd love a stage set on any of its islands (but especially Autumn Heights).* I know this isn't likely, though, since Smash only sparingly references stuff that came out the same generation as itself. Still, though, TF has some of my favorite environmental art since BioShock Infinite.**

Simple solution -- the Mole Train level from Donkey Kong Country Returns. That's a mine cart level where you have multiple platform-sized carts linking up and breaking apart. Also, the cave world is gorgeous. It'd essentially be like the Spirit Tracks stage in the 3DS version, with the addition of moles popping out of the bananas and throwing pickaxes at you, diamonds crashing from the ceiling, maybe even an appearance by the sonar-emitting Giant Bat.Oooo, a mine cart stage would be soooo hype and appropriate to represent the entire DKC franchise, amirite? The only thing though, is please let it be transitional with plenty of solid ground to duke it out on. Would be so hype.

It could translate between different themed areas with solid ground to stand on, like Delfino Plaza. When the stage coaxes the fighters to the side to reach the next set of minecarts, the giant bat and octopus (sorry, I don't know their names) could become stage hazards and knock out some carts =) As for why the giant bat decided to go after mine carts rather than rockets, I dunno

You take that back! I've killed for lesser things.Galaxy games say otherwise.
That game's soundtrack and David Wise are way overrated.
Man, the AC: New Leaf stage was revealed on December 11th and the Find Mii stage on December 3rd and we still haven't seen anything else from them. I hate it when Sakurai leaves us hanging likes this. We haven't seen anything more from the Kid Icarus stage on Wii U too.

While on the subject of amazing composers, I'd like to say that Yoko Shimomura is my personal favourite =3 However, I can't really think of a good enough reason why her music should show up in smash other than "cuz it's soo gud"
EDIT: Top of the new page? I don't want =(
Gotta keep some things secret for when the game drops! Although I would love a new trailer to show off some of these stages.
Do you guys think Smash 4 should have mini games ala Pokemon Stadium? I'd think I'd enjoy playing as all the Nintendo characters in a bunch of mini games when I want to take a break from the fighting.

Shimomura composed the Mario and Luigi series! :3 There is hope yet!

I wouldn't mind if they brought mini-games back like the Coin Launcher. This was fun for getting trophies.

no
I do not want another Coin Launcher

Give us Pokemon Stadium esque mini games.
Get me some Michiko Naruke. Her Brawl arrangements were absolutely incredible.
get tha sauce

For the next trophy mini-game, I want something like the Coin Launcher where it provides a fun distraction from the regular game. The problem I had with the Lottery was that it becomes absolutely dead after you get all the collectible trophies (which should take a few weeks), though I recognize the importance of the percentage system. Maybe some sort of middle ground is necessary?
Here you go. He comments on several other KI:U songs as well.
Edit: Just noticed Sakura mentioned that part of Magnus's Theme contains a musical segment from the FDS version of Kid Icarus. Anyone know what he's referring to?
Man, why do people knock on her Stickerbrush Symphony arrangement so much? I actually prefer it to the original.
Anyone else concerned about Diddy's attack range being drastically increased, lol?

I want to see his DSmash before I get too concerned about it as it was already really strong to begin with. The FSmash may also apply to my wariness.
The FSmash having it's range increased would be bananas. (pun intended) What is his Dsmash again?
If his Bair range is increased then dammit man, we have a problem.

Had a bizarre (and awful) Smash-related dream last night. Dreamt that Pac-Man and Dixie Kong were announced... as pre-order DLC exclusives for specifically the Wii U (Pac-Man) and 3DS (Dixie) versions, and neither would appear in the other version. SmashGAF erupted in anger, vitriol, and hatred like you would not (well, actually, would) believe. Mostly because no one thought Nintendo would go the crappy pre-order exclusive route, but also because SmashGAF hated Pac-Man and was all about Dixie and wanted her in the Wii U version over Pac-Man.
Yeah, it was weird. I was quite happy when I woke up. That's probably the third or so Smash-related dream I've had since its formal unveiling at last year's E3, and it's definitely the weirdest.
That part ain't no dream![]()
Agreed. I was super excited about it at first, but by the end I don't think I even bothered getting all the random trophies. Ideally, there could be a coin launcher style mini game, and a Melee style lottery (without the low upper bound on coin input). It was pretty fun early game but once you've got nearly every trophy it was pretty much a hassle.

Ha, real SmashGAF doesn't dislike Pac-Man as much as the SmashGAF in my dream did. There are a few among us who either like him/want to be included or don't mind him either way. I'm in the latter camp. I certainly don't dislike him or want him not to be in the game.
I actually think it'd be kinda cool to pit Mario, Mega Man, Sonic, and Pac-Man - the four legacy gaming mascots - against one another!
