PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

I'm kind of interested in getting Fez, but I'm concerned I might not like it. I played it on PC and didn't enjoy the 20 minutes or so I spent with it. Maybe I'll just wait for the eventual $2.50 PS Plus price :p.

As excited as I was for Mater Reboot, I might skip that one too. Looks like it might just be The Witch and the Hundred Knight for the me this month.

I'll probably cave and buy Miku.

This week I had finally made up my mind to go ahead and sell my Vita. Before packing it up I figured I would play a bit more Tearaway. Several hours later I have not put it down. Guess I am keeping my Vita. :)

Amazing how much joy is contained within Tearaway.

don't leave us Vitabro - don't ever do that again :/
sell everything else but the Vita

My Vita is the only thing I've played in the last week. Some stuff is keeping me from my PC and in these circumstances the Vita really shines.

I enjoyed the 20 minutes I played for Fez but I also realized it wasn't really my kind of game, I paid $1 for it (before the Humble Bundle) so it wasn't a big deal in terms of money. It's possible I would rebuy for Vita if it's $2-3 too though.

I personally just dislike puzzle platformers. Not really my type of game.

I think remote ps4 play is going to take a while for me to get used to. I bought injustice for the vita and am now regretting it because I didn't consider for $10 I could buy it for the ps4, stream it and have it on both. Kinda feeling stupid for not realizing this before purchasing.

It would be 30fps tho. For a 60fps fighting game that is no bueno, you're basically playing in slowmo with delayed inputs.

Remote play is only good for certain games unless Sony patches it

I was thinking of getting another Vita today. Was gonna offload a certain janky handheld to cover some of the cost. But I'm too attached to theatrhythm that I can't get rid of it.

Ha! I was thinking of offloading my Vita to get a chance to play animal crossing. Decided to just have both systems instead. I now own every current system except for a XB1, which I may buy next week depending on the reception Titanfsll receives. :)

Titanfall actually looks nice. But I'll be playing that on the PC.

I've never been interested in MS hardware for a myriad, but I've been itching to get a 360 just to play Lost Odyssey and some shmups

As for WiiU, I'll get that for smash & zeruda musuo.

Owning multiple hardware is nice and you get to experience everything, but it's really costly to maintain :s

It looks like La-Mulana Portable will be handled by Pygmy. They have previously ported Eufloria, and Forevolution to PlayStation Mobile. La-Mulana will be a Vita native port.

I've been tempted multiple times to buy a 3DS purely for Theatrhythm and Pokemon. I don't think I'd ever be able to get used to the huge downgrade in hardware from the Vita to 3DS if I ever did get one though.

I have all except for XB1, as well. Don't know if I'll get it since I don't want to pay for both PS+ AND XBL. I don't have much against the system itself, but that is the big barrier for me (as well as the price and 360 not having had a huge amount of exclusives that interested me).

So I am laying in bed playing Tearaway and the elk needs a new coat. I was not expecting to use the camera, so I just took a photo of my night stand. I think it turned out well.

Also, how did the music in this game not win more awards?

It's kind of bizarre that I was thinking about selling my 3DS XL, and the only game I have (that didn't come with) is animal crossing lol.

3DS isn't so bad really, it does it job fine, and the 2DS is a really comfy handheld. It's just the lack of games on it.

I was just so used to the support Square gave the DS, I was expecting the 3DS to get the same treatment.

I can't live off TRFF forever.

I dunno, 3 Dragon Quest games, TRFF, and a FF spinoff (BD) in 2-ish years seems more or less on par compared with their output on the DS.

I'm playing the Puyo Puyo Tetris trial (JP-only), and am really enjoying it. I'm finding it much harder to play on the Puyo Puyo side though.

I dunno mang

DS had;

TWEWY
The last decent Crystal Chronicles game (Echoes of Time)
Tactics A2
Front Mission
Rocket Slime
4HoL
Chrono
DQIX

etc

SE's 3DS output is pretty good, but it doesn't match what the DS had.

Same deal with Sony. SE's output on the PSP was god tier. Shame about the Vita. Oh well, at least I got FFX.

Between PSP and PS1 games, the PSP was truly a god tier machine for jrpg lovers.

I'd love a Vita version of South Park SoT. Or even a PS4 version so I could remote play it. You guys think they might do a new gen version? Even if its digital only?

Man, even the trees are sexualized in this game, lol.

Wow. That is a new level of perversion even by Compile Heart standards lol. Are you sure she isn't a nymph or something?
____

I renewed my PS+ subscription after being 15 days without it (I wasn't playing that much) and for some reason I'm having a blas with DW Next. Is like the perfect game when I got tired of Dragon's Dogma due to the brainless fun it gives. I especially like using cards to completely broken (even more) the game in the Campaign. Conquest mode is really fun due to thinking about where to attack and all that.

I'd love to be able to command my generals during battles, send them to different bases and that stuff. Is this in other entries? Until Next I hadn't played a musou game in years. Maybe since the PS2 days, when a friend had a version and we loved to play the Empires mode.

You can send groups to different areas on the map with the touch screen, is that what you mean?

DW Next is the first DW game I ever played and it's not bad at all. I haven't gotten very far but mindlessly slashing hundreds of dudes is a fun diversion.

i couldnt resist and bought both prince of persia revelations and rival swords for 5 dollars. hope im not to wrong about them . i wanted this kind of title in my Vita ,i couldnt miss the opportunity of having both games on the little sony handheld. The first game wich is warriors withing with some add ons i simply love it , even when is a dated game, the game is a good example of what ubisoft could accomplish in terms of quality.
Maybe both games didnt aged good , but i love them. So maybe ill add more credit to the account and buy forgotten sands too.

Since NFS Most Wanted is coming in a few more hours, I almost purchased
(narrowly escaped)
Asphalt. My current loot consists of the following:
Hotline Miami
Malicious Rebirth (I'm looking at you, incpdo for this purchase)

I am still looking at either open me or machinarium to top it off, Can anyone help me choose between the two?

Again facing problme which i face month before last. My IFC is not yet updated and i am still seeing old games ?
last time some one gave me a direct link

Also can some one tell me how was crysis 3 on ps3. too temting to get it for 10 dollars

So after emailing a second time and phoning for a 6th, finally got through to Sony's fucking customer service. Only to be told the investigation would take about a week/week and a half. So I'm out £30 until then. Grand.

I don't know if it was just me, since I played that game on a 60gb launch PS3 before it died but I am seeing some slowdowns here and there. It is not as graphically good as playing it through the PC but "passable" is the best way for me to describe it.

I can only offer you my condolences man. Getting out of money on the seriously loaded month is tough.

What do you think of those two titles?

This question is open to everyone! I've been meaning to pick them up but have heard mixed reviews.

Oh, I didn't know. Thanks man. It was tiresome to go everywhere with my horse xD

i think they are good games with some errors(fighting system was something new and great at the moment but now is a little confusing) . Warrior´s within (revelations) is for me the most obscure Prince of Persia , game , they are excellent platform titles with a very well made sound and fight system, for the price (each one 2.49) the games are great , i can suggest you to see videos and pick one of them , if you like it , the other one is just the same so in other words more goodness. the games have aged , but in my opinion they aged not so bad. I will simplify things with , if you like 3d platform games , grab them. they are good. You will not get something so good for that price(PSP games wise). If you want something more "modern" , you can grab forgotten sands for only 5 dollars.
you can see the game here (revelations) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwb6AmuibdE
Revelations has a metacritic of above the 60 by the press , but the users gave it an 80. Also revelations has more levels (i think its like 4 completly new areas that the PC version doesnt have). the sound is superb and there is some levels where the ambient and climax is even gorgeous today.

Guys why can't I find Dead Nation yet in the PS4 store in the EU?
I thought it was out today?

Also, off topic, but I can't connect to the EA battlefield 4 servers either. Fuck this day!
