PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

Cloudberry Kingdom not available for Vita? It's in the EU sale, but looks like it's PS3 only.

Wikipedia claims it was launched on Vita last August...

Yeah, it never actually appeared from what I recall. Good thing too from the videos I've seen, I foresee much rage on that title.

I bought the PSM app "Translate Helper" (I use translator everyday). For some reason the app requires you to sign in to PSN, after that it will open the system app and do something there (I changed the PW after this, just incase).

Deleted the app after several error messages about translation fail. The app is laggy, slow and awful looking. If you're for whatever reason seeking for a translation app on your Vita, don't bother atm. Stick to something decent that's available for your smartphone.

Also, give me more more Anti Aliasing for the overall system.

EDIT:
PSM DRM. You need to be online the first time you use it and every week or so to renew keys.

it opened system stuff because that is where the runtime lives.

Ah, I see. Thank you!

I might pick up Outland. Although I don't know when I'll get time to play it. Nothing good for Vita though.

Also, PS+ games are up in Aus, except Tomb Raider is still listed at full price.

EU Store has been updated to allow purchasing of Dead Nation, looked like the PS3 content hadn't been updated yet though.

Is Borderlands 2 supposed to be free for Plus in Europe right now? I got it for free just now, but I thought it just had a discount for Plus.

So I watched the trailer for Master Reboot.....

what the fuck is this? Anyone played it? I guess if it was a Vita or PS4 game, people here would be more interested in it.

Yep it's free at the moment. Current PS3 IGC are

Metro Last Light
Bioshock Infinite
Borderlands 2
Guacamelee
XCOM
Uncharted 3
LBP Karting

Metro and Bioshock to leave and Tomb Raider and Brothers to replace.

Brothers was also up.

Why do you have a leaf on your battery status indicator?

Went back and grabbed Brothers, thanks.

It's HTC's powersave indicator, annoying as hell and thinking of flashing back to the Google Experience software instead, as I like my notification tray a little less cluttered. Things like mobile data indicator seperate to the signal strength is unneeded.

Tomb Raider doesn't seem to be up yet and Dead Nation seems to be running into some issues.

Mmm... nice. I wanted to play Brother since it released. My father likes to watch how I play Uncharted, so I may download Tomb Raider. How are the multiplayer trophies?

This month will be Toukiden + DW and some trophy hunting. Maybe FFX, maybe not, since I just had to drop 145€ on 5 more fucking driving practices. If everything works well I won't have to drop any more money on them.

After 1 year and 4 months of owning a Vita, I finally had to delete something off of my 32GB card to download Smart As. Felt bad...

Hoping that game has lots of high res footage of dancing girls, because it's pretty damn huge for what it is.

Seems like Conception II will get a demo on March 25. Time to test if it justifies the day 1 purchase.

Link

March is pretty jampacked. It seems I'm not only getting FFX/X-2 HD but Deception IV as well. April may get hectic with Demon Gaze but I'm not sure with that one. Can anyone recommend?

So the Miku demo is up on the Aus store. I like the touchscreen better than the joystick flicking. I don't know what it is though but I don't seem to be hitting notes as easy on the Vita as I was on PS3, it could be because I'm a little sleepy. I know I'm not completely terrible, I have several S++ ranks in DJMAX. Maybe this game is more strict.

This should be The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening

but i'm not so sure, i mean the first Guided Fate was the spiritual sequel of ZHP, this seems to be the spiritual sequel of Sorcery Saga...
Whoa, I've never played ZHP but having played Sorcery Saga and looking at that footage I can say that that looks like more than just a spiritual successor to Sorcery Saga.

That IS Sorcery Saga.

Just bought the PS4 via amazon, I already have: Resogun, Outlast, and Dead Nation in the chamber via PS Plus thanks to the Vita.

Estimated delivery is next week and these 3 will hold me over until Ground Zeroes is released... hopefully all goes smoothly when I set up remote play and with Amazon getting it here.

Man, I recently got an external hard drive finally (lost too much stuff too many times), and decided I could concede to deleting a few game bubbles from my Vita. So of course I deleted stuff that's collected dust for awhile.

When I went to copy the Need for Speed physical bubble back over, in order to transfer the save data into the cheap digital copy a lot of us bought yesterday, I couldn't find it anywhere... and I know damn well I transferred everything on all 3 of my memory cards. Rayman Origins was there the other day, so I don't know what the deal is, but it doesn't look like hardly any physical game bubbles backed up any of their tiny sub-100kb data files. Threw the game card in, too, just to make sure in case the save was stored on the SD card. Nope.

So Need for Speed has no save data anymore, and since I haven't been subbed to PS+ since December, I have no cloud to restore it with. It's really not a big deal with this game, but just another example of how saves being inseparable from game data is stupid, and that I wouldn't have even been deleting and restoring anything on my 64GB card in the first place, if it wasn't for the 100 app limit.

Wait, those screens are from the VITA app? How is that possible?

It's subnative res for starters, and there isn't a lot going on. That said, it's still really impressive for a companion app, and I expect that to be the first step to Vita's Yakuza game.

I feel the same. I'm a veteran of old school top down rhythm games like O2 Jam, DJ Max and Step Mania but I feel like a noob playing this game. I'm kinda catching up though. Feels good improving myself.

are you glad you kept your Vita?

I don't quite understand why you would throw away your console/handheld. For example even if nothing interest me in Vita/3DS at the moment there's a chance a game might release that I like on those platforms. You're investing for the future games aside from the initial games that made you buy the systems. I would only put away my console/handhelds if I'm having problems with the systems themselves like buggy OS, inadequate ergonomics and such that makes you frustrated.
