Monogatari is an odd series. You either adore it or don't "get" it. I'm the lather. I enjoyed Bakemonogatari, was bored and then confused with Nise (will never look at a toothbrush the same way again), super bored with Neko, and haven't even bothered with the second season. Very interesting cast of characters to say the least. MC is great when he's not trying to molest his sisters. Still mad Kizumonogatari isn't out yet.
Nah, I don't read the manga. I watched the anime but I'm way behind. I stopped during the Sky arc which is years ago. Haven't felt like catching up yet.

I want to order it but I have one major concern. Her eyes...they seem really off. Have you all seen any better pictures of them? The pics that AmiAmi has make them seem blurry...Megahouse a good figure company?

Your mileage may vary with Megahouse. I like most of their recent works, but a good number of people here been disappointed with them in the past. Their Persona 4 line was good excluding Rise and Yukiko. I'm getting the Elf and Amazon, and maybe the Sorceress if Orchid Seed takes too long. They seem fine so far, but we have no idea yet how it'll end up since it's just a prototype. Keep track of it on figinstock.com and buy it after it's released if you're so worried.

As for my reason to go with HLJ, I'm not 100% on whether I'll be purchasing her or not [since I'm not confident what August will hold], so I wanted to go with HLJ for ease of cancellation.
It surprised me too. She should be more popular. :/

Got my (small) February AmiAmi shipment in today. Kotobukiya's Shiki Ryougi is not as good as GSC's, which is not hugely surprising but still kind of disappointing (especially with the price inflation on all figures now):

How is GSC's better? The pose seems super bland on GSC's.
Nipples? On my Frees? I feel sick...
I find both the face and the sculpt on the kimono to be better on GSC's. And sure, it's not the most expressive pose (or facial expression), but I find that very well suited to the character.
I'll be picking up mom's box at the post office tomorrow. I think she looks great.
I'll also be picking up my Amiami Feb. box, with the Ikkitousen nurse. I'll leave her on mom's table in the living room, she's gone on vacation for 2 months. The nurse I picked up today will arrive before she returns too. She's so going to freak when she gets back hahaha!

My K-ON figures arrived today. Being prize figures, I wasn't expecting too much from them... but they are actually really good quality, not to mention very tall!
Kuroko is getting a re-release! So glad I waited and that MH are responding quickly to the demand.

He looks REALLY damn good though, even the shittiest of photos haven't been able to ruin his overall charm. And if he's released at the same price as his first release then I really don't think it'll be a waste.
You could almost make a one piece armor joke about it too.

Eh, I just bought her because she looks like an awesome warrior character to go with the Risty reissue I'm getting this month. The metal bikini reminds me more of Red Sonja than anything else.
Was browisng AmiAmi pre-owned last night and this caught my eye... She looks pretty cool, but she's from an eroge series. AmiAmi also has an A/B GSC Triela (Gunslinger Girl) for 14,980 JPY. A bit steep, but someone might be willing to pay it.
That looks pretty dope. I wound up passing on Eleanor but this might be impulse purchase territory...

I have a thing for sci-fi figures, because just like dark-skinned figures, they're just not as common. This one is from Alter, and I think she'd go great on the shelf with my Zero Suit Samus, Matoko Kusanagi, bishoujo Shepard and Jaina Solo.
Last week I posted a totally NSFW pic because I didn't even bat an eyelash at it. Now I'm being overly cautious. XD
Ha no big. I was 50/50 on buying her anyways. Lord knows I probably don't need to spend anymore money of figures this month with Tharja coming and Bishoujo Jun from Big Bad Toy Store. I already spend a pretty penny on Alphamax Mai and wasn't sure I wanted to spend the $60+EMS for Metatron. You did me a favor, breh!

Glad to hear! I passed initially due to being iffy with Megahouse (they seem to be hit or miss with figures), but people seem to enjoy the first Kuroko release, so I have high hopes for the line. Still undecided just how deep into Kuroko figures I want to get as I'll be tempted to get all of them, even if I don't have the space/money for them all. haha
The Makoto seems underwhelming to me, but I have a few friends that will be overjoyed to see him (nipples and all).
Looks like Megahouse's Sorceress is going up tonight for 10k yen.
