Judging by the pic above, I would guess that the Smash Ball will now have a more flashy energy flowing around it. The pic of the day seems to have the energy all behind the ball for reasons probably related to showcasing the actual ball.

Here's to also hoping for more than one Smash ball at a time.

IIRC it was more like the ball was covered by a "white flame".


The render on the Dojo does have it covered with the energy net, but it is different in game.
