Nevermind about the Brightstone boss, was a complete pushover as soon as I summoned an ally to act as a distraction, haha. But holy crap at the surprise fight near the bonfire, shat my pants while holding over 50000 souls :O

Lost 100k souls right after that boss, good times.

Really? I had an awful time with that boss with my DEX Build.
I use a dex build too, and I got him on my third try or so. A bow helps a lot. Basically you have to
take out all the rats asap without getting poisoned/toxic, then you're good to go. I sniped two rats (my bow luckily OHKOs them with a heavy arrow), quickly meleed the others, and then you can take your time fighting the big rat, he's easy once his minions are done.

What surprise fight? Do you mean the
small spiders near that bonfire next to Ornifex?
Edit: derp, you mean the
headless man of course
. Haha, that was scary and awesome. I love that
NPC, he's probably my favourite of all the Souls games.

Are there any cool looking mage outfits in the game? If so, where? Like example, I loved how the Gold-hemmed Black set looked in Dark Souls 1. Basically any nice looking light gear will do. I'm currently using Wanderer's set which I like, but I've been using it for a while. Any help? :)

I killed Straid to get his black hood (increases Cast speed). You can get the other parts (boots, robe, gloves) from Hag Malentia

I'm assuming you mean for multiplayer matchmaking? The game takes both into account, so you have to be within whatever band of the other player on both.

Oh... I really want to do PvP but I like my character and want to start NG+.... :(

I'm honestly feeling the second game is better than the first.

I do miss the cohesion and progression of the first game, though. Something to be said about how that game was layered. Ash Lake and all those other massive trees in the distance.

That's what I did.
Killed the first 2 rats but I'd always get massacred by the authority before I could get the last 2.

Holy fuck I'm enjoying this game. So much shit to explore and it seems to open more and more as I progress. Also the areas seem to get better as I progress.

This is everything I hoped from a sequel. This might even top DaS 1.

STR in this game appears to the be way to go for melee in general.

I am STR build with a Ultra Greatsword and it is certainly working out for PvE. I dunno about PvP though...

I'm really tempted to re-spec as a dex 20STR 40 DEX build so that I can dual wield poison Katanas (with stone ring and poison ring). I have a feeling that would rape people... And if you get bored, you can weild the Black Knight Halbred or the Murakamoto. I just think the DEX builds are way better for variety.

Ok what is up with the input for sprint occasionally being rejected, it has been bugging me the whole game and just happened at the worst possible moment. Does it happen when your stamina is recovering from zero?

I'm going on the record right now that this is the worst boss fight in the series.

Yes. When it hits 0 you can't sprint until it's fully recharged.

So I just reached the area with the thick fog...

fuck this game.

Actually, it wasn't that bad after a couple of deaths, but I did lose a shit ton of souls. :(

If your stamina hits 0 you cant sprint till the bar fills again.

I was trying to get the tricksy little item you need to get by dropping off of the bridge in
Huntsman's Copse
and got the message that I was being invaded right as I stepped off the bridge. And missed. So an invader showed up just in time to watch me plummet to my death.

Enjoy your souls, invader dude. And I hope you enjoyed the show.

faintstones are rare, very rare. You can buy them later from a merchant or you can get one from the crows in Things Betwixt (you'll need smooth and silky stones though. And you'll need luck :P

Do you happen to know which Merchant and when? I'm pretty far into the game.

Now that I have finished the game, I am watching some other people play. The fact that so many people are destroying multiple wooden chests in fear of mimics is infuriating.

I'm more disturbed by the bloodstains I find near EVERY NPC :( Merchants, trainers, covenant leaders - it seems nobody is spared by some people!

i loooove the pumped up emote haha

Looking for jolly co-op assistance at the boss in No Mans Warf. No summon signs appearing on the pier :( Lots of messages and bloodstains though!

he's a pretty easy boss but I can hop over and try to unlock him real quick if you reaaally get stuck.

I like the Hexer set. You can get it by
killing Felkin just before the start of Copse, then buying it from Melentia. I also heard he'll just give it to you if your int/faith are high enough, but I can't confirm that
.

Desert sorceress set might be another option.
It drops from the ladies in Earthen Peak
.

I killed Straid to get his black hood (increases Cast speed). You can get the other parts (boots, robe, gloves) from Hag Malentia

Thanks guys. I'll check those out. I'd rather not kill any NPCs if I can help it though. At least until I'm about to go into NG+ (assuming it's still safe to kill them prior to that).

The Defender Greatsword is pretty nice - has the claymore's moveset and speed, the requirements aren't steep (20str/12dex/15faith), and when infused with the Boltstone, has S scaling in lightning. The two handed L2 gives it the Sunlight Blade buff, or something that looks exactly like it.

Too bad about the 15 petrified dragon bones I spent upgrading it.

how do you get it? ng+?

After a few
backstabs
I just put on my
turtleshell
problem solved.

Yea that area was nasty.

HELP:
Quick question about convenants: im now in the " Waymof Blue" convenant. Ive gotten 30 Tokens of Fidelity and a ring from the guy in Majula. Can I leave this convenat an join Blue Sentinals? Or just kill the guy?

Started watch ENB videos now made a big chunk in game so won't be bothered by spoilers due how far behind he is.

Forgot how gorgeous the starting knight falcon armour is, actually think it my favourite looking set in game so far

Is the dull ember before or after the
Smelter Demon?

Literally opposite the door on other side of room.

Rat fuckers down with just one mighty flame swathe. Didn't even get hit lol. Spell is so overpowered. Same with the
scorpion lady
she was easy as hell too. Need to find some more fire seeds.

Your brightness settings are probably too high then. Using the recommended ones (ie can't see the symbol on the calibration screen at the beginning of the game) you shouldn't see extremely well.

It's set exactly where it should be according to the game, if not a bit lower.

So regret using my flexible soul on something I'm not going to use. So used a bonfire aesetic or whatever to kill sentry again... oh god bad idea. He's brutal now.

i loooove the pumped up emote haha

You're right, he wasn't too bad at all.

Also now,
Pyromancy glove finally! I wondered when it would turn up!

every boss is a complete pushover with an ally.

btw.: died 2 times in a very stupid way during that fight.

had her down to the last hit, but wanted to heal first.
didn't notice her little friend and he killed me while drinking.

2nd time I had her down to the last hit again, was strafing to the side and suddenly I fell down the ledge..

helped some guy with the chariot boss today.

Idk if he didnt know about it, or he didnt want to, but
he would pull the lever.he stood in one of those safespots and shot lightning at the boss when ever he drove buy

and right now, I beat jubba the hutt. xD

So I think the NPC Or
nifex
Is missing from where I expect them. They said they were headed home but they are not where I have seen them in other streams...
