Thrice has the glass knight survived with 5% health... So stupid

You'll get em...and it will be that much more rewarding.

I really enjoyed the Glass Knight's moveset. He actually felt like a boss who knew his weapon and how to fight well with it. I loved how he'd go into a 3 hit combo, and then ocassionally drop that final twisting thrust at the end. I thought he was badass.

If you have enough damage, you can stop the shield from you know what.

I don't know about the mask, but the hat is
part of the hunter leathers (which I think is the rest of her gear too?) located by the third bonfire in giant's forest. From the bonfire where the hag is, it's down the ladder, past the spear hollow sitting on the ground, left through the door, and then immediately right through another door and down the stairs to the turtle knights.

Oh that's cool, thanks!

Frustration ahead

Actually, I am finding it to be one of the better areas of the game. The lizardmen are cake, the casters are no problem with ranged attacks and I can see the drop offs fine. Just found the Sunlight Blade and Helix Halberd. Lawds at all the gear in this game.

I guess I also need to put points into attunement as well? Thinking 16 plus the ring to get me to 4 spell slots right? Then the rest into dex/str/vit? Also anything with the long sword move set that scales well? I love the regular move set of it.

Whatever you're comfortable with, really. There's a ring you can get that grants 3 extra spell slots, so keep that in mind if you want to skimp on attunement. I went with 30 in the end.

As for the other stats, I just went with the minimum for Defender's Greatsword (20str/12dex), which also let me use a shortbow and a good medium shield.

Moveset wise, the knight sword probably comes close (although the thrust on it is the second strike of the 1h R2 combo). I've heard bad things about the Sun Sword infused with lightning, and that thing is made for quality builds anyways.

Wow at the Llewellyn armour set, possibly my favourite set from the Souls series

And the next area right after the boss reminds me so much of a certain area in DKs..

LOL, I was in Belfry Luna and some guy invaded me. I pretended to be afk, then he arrives near me and tries to hit me but I just hit faster and almost killed him. then he runs away with his shield up, I use the Seed of a Tree of Giants and the black dwarf kills him from behind.

10/10. I'd say that getting that gift was worth it.

Here's how my guy looks now. You want some?

Thanks, gonna mess around with it tonight

The royal rat authority...what the fuck is up with that thing? Is it an optional fight because it kills me in less than 10 seconds.

Finally finished the game.
The last boss (or three?) was surprisingly weak. Nashandra herself was almost as easy as real Allant from Demon's Souls. I had a much harder time with the giants' memories than I did with her or the watchers. While I'm on the topic, the memory sequences were pretty weird due to the arbitrary time limit mechanic; that felt wholly out of place in a Souls game.

The ending (that I saw--no idea if there's more than one) was pretty mediocre. It's basically a unified version of the Dark Souls 1 endings, only with even less to see. I don't know if it would make any sense to someone who hasn't seen the original game's two endings; it felt like the idea of linking the fire was never really established in this game. Regardless, taking away the player's direct control over the ending (i.e. link the fire or walk away) made this one feel pretty anemic in comparison.

Great game overall. I spent fifty hours on my first playthrough and found a lot to love.

I was thinking of trying something like this. I usually hide in the hidden room in Belfry and throw poison knives or a witching urn when they get off the staircase.

If I were to imbue the mace with lightning, is it better to pump faith and have just enough strength for equip requirements? Or are you better off pumping both strength/faith to take advantage of the B strength scaling?
Anyone else have recommendations on good weapons for str/fai build, or is mace the way to go?

Yep, good advice here.

Speaking of Lucatiel, I really like her quite a bit. In particular, her talk in the Black Gulch about she would even be
willing to kill you if it meant she would be free of the curse.
:( Is there any way to get her armor? It looks cool.

Also, holy shit, I love Soul Greatsword. Does a ton of damage. Is there any way to get more than 1 of them? I found the one in
Drangleic Castle
. Is it possible to buy another one somewhere so I have more casts?

I believe you get her armor by furthering her questline...or killing her and buying her armor from Melentia I guess.

Literally just killed him after about 10 attempts. I finally got lucky and got him into derpy repeated animations and two handed his ass

that fight is easy if you have the aoe pyromancies just agrro the dogs with a bow and then use your spells and ya can oen hit the dogs, then just stay very close to the boss's legs and whack whenever possible rinse and repeat easy.

Yep but I am an absolute tank build who moves super slow. So it was almost impossible, his attacks drained my stamina bar completely too

Was watching a video and it seems the emerald maiden has two different eye colors. You can only see this if you clip the camera through her hair.

I'm not to the
giant memories part yet, but can you go into detail on the time limit? What do you mean by that? What happens if you run out of time doing whatever it is you have to do?

Weird, the
watchers
were easily the hardest part of the game for me besides the
ancient dragon
.

Just Beat
FREJA
and looked up to see what must be the hide of
Seath The Scaleless
. Fucking Awesome

EDIT: Wait scratch that I dont see
three tails
. lol nvm

I got
ricard's rapier
from one of those torture guys in a room in huntsman's copse. fine, a bit of fan service. that's fine. To those who don't know,
there's an undead wielding this weapon in Senn's Fortress in the previous game,
and he drops this.

..and then I got another copy of the weapon (what?) from.. a spider. (what?)

is From trolling us, or was that just some bug/accident?

Damn, I lost my chance to complete her questline and get her armor set... I didn't know you had to summon her 3 times (and let her survive) for her quest to complete. :( Oh well, there's always next playthrough, lol.

Questions about the berserker blade.

1. Do you just rest at he bonfire to reset, or do you fall off the ladder and die to reload?

2. Did you have to be on NG+? Ive reset about 20 times and the doosher still hasn't spanwed once.

The spiders drop quite a few weapons. The guide doesn't list any of them as their intended drops. Might be a bug, or maybe the guide simply neglected to mention this.

1. bonfire works

2. I just got the blade and chest armor on NG. Make sure you're in the convenant.

Are you in the Bell Keeper Covenant? I think you need to be in it.

Well, it's a unique weapon with a unique backstory, so the idea that multiple copies of it drop seems pretty silly and somewhat immersion-breaking.

You get healed for ratings.

People usually either run no adaptability at all, 20 or ~40. Personally I run 20 because that's the point where diminishing returns kick in(because I also have 20 endurance).

edit: Anyone up for some PvP in NG? Try to summon me at Iron Keep. Sign somewhere in the middle of the bridge.

Thank you. So you're saying I wasted points into adaptability? Either case, I'll bring it to 20.

It's been that for the last few days. If you don't see signs:

- Check if you can lay down one yourself. If you can't you probably have lost the connection to the mp servers. This happens from a failed invasion/summon. Exit to menu and restart.

- Quickly walk back into the elevator area. It counts as a new area and resets the signs you see.
Also right by
where you turn in the Dragon Covenant scales
so it's really convenient for that covenant.

They look similar but are actually different.

Scorpioness Najka and Iron King
down.
Najka is really weak to fire
for anyone who is having trouble with her. The only thing hard about
Iron King
is not getting knocked off the ledge. Guess I'll go down in the well next. That seems like the next place to go.

I discovered the location of the sunbro covenant really late in my life, already nearly level 100, and it's quite hard grinding out 27 more sunlight medals at this level. Easy to get summoned at the Smelter Demon, but hosts tend to have trouble surviving this fight. If they'd just stay back I could solo it easily enough (I have the dwarf shield, making him pretty easy) but they never do.

Thinking about rolling another alt. I remember how ridiculously easy it was to get chain summoned at the pursuer fight. Maybe I should keep my SL pretty low and get to the sunbro (all I have to do is beat huntsmans at a low level, which I think is doable) and then sunbro at the lower level bosses to get my covenant ranked up...

Which armor is everyone rolling with? Is there any really good armor that still keeps you comfortably enough below 70% weight at 20 Vit?

Few questions guys; if they've been answered sorry, but I am trying to avoid spoilers.

Does the roll vary between really heavy and sloppy to just the normal one? Because I've been messing around with equipment weight and sometimes can't see the difference in rolls.

How high should I bring my adaptability up? Right now it's my number one concern. Sloppy maneuverability is a big no no for me.

What do I get for people rating my messages?

You get a small/modest amount of health for message ratings.

You and me both for the roll speed, as near as I can tell, ADP governs the roll speed, VIT governs the roll length. I tested this with the
Drangleic
vs. the
Aurous
set, i.e. with heavier armour the roll length is abrupt, but with 20 or so ADP I still rolled fast. Invincibility frames, who knows, but obviously with a good dose of ADP early (20) and a really low equip burden %, this
pursuer
boss fight shows some I-frame use for sure. But I can guarantee you will enjoy doing what I did for armour - it is really light and has equip bonus to boot, there is also a ring which I got a little bit further in the playthrough, but the armour is available right away if you know what to do. The following vid just "unveils" it no spoilers on how to get it unless you watch subsequent vids: Check it!
Thank you. So you're saying I wasted points into adaptability? Either case, I'll bring it to 20.

NOOOO! get dat ADP up to 20 asap ....it caps at 38. Dont forget about VIT either. Two most important stats for roll people.
