killed all bosses, including optional.

91 hours into my first playthrough, finally hitting NG plus 2 for the trophies.

How often do you invade people? I'm near 80 hours and barely get invaded. Only 3 times, killed them all, esp the last guy was easy. lol. From the sounds of it, really sounds like the invaders are such a small community currently. I wonder if there will be more invaders in NG+

How often? well whenever i get cracked red eye which are incredible hard to find, i have to grind them in the pvp duels which sucks because you only get them if you win those duels which is hard.
Honestly the cracked red eye orbs are too fucking rare i know you can buy them in ng+ but thats too far for me, they should do a patch and let the blood covenant guy sell them so that more people can get into the wonderful world of making people miserable.

What Gorillaz said. I get that they're trying to make it all atmospheric and haunting, but it's mechanically dumb to the point where it almost seems like an oversight. It's not like it's hard or offensive, just a stupidly inefficient time sink. The door being the main culprit. It's like...whyyyyy.

You say its not hard, but the shear number of times I've seen hosts jump off the edge of the walkway after summoning me would prove otherwise. Seems in Dark Souls, walking in a straight line in a controlled manner is really the true end game boss.

Found out a really funny/cool thing about something someone who got the game early was really mad about on here.

The second fight in Heide's Tower:
The guy with the gigantic hammer, disappears of you get killed by him a couple times. So the person who got the game early thought that was going to be a common thing; it's not. The cool thing I figured out is that if you do kill him on the first or second try, you get a Sublime Bone Dust! At least that just happened for me.

I beat the game tonight; 64 hours in. Started a new str/fai character instead of clearing out the rest of the optional stuff in my first game before NG+.

if you kill him period, he'll drop it. it's a 100% drop. on my 2nd play through with another character I instantly used a bonfire aestetic to let him respawn for an early +2 flask. will also make use of that area if i need to farm souls (that and iron keep).

I just messed up. Can a dark souls 2 expert lend a hand? Btw- I have yet to find the answer anywhere on the inter webs ;

I just accidentally
killed soul merchant Gavlan in no mans wharf. Apparently he can be resurrected for 3500 souls at his tombstone. Where is the tombstone? Has anyone pulled this off? have a ton of crap I want to sell

Thx for any help.

Bump from a few days ago. Will only do once. Anyone? I really want to sell all my extra crap!

Holy hell the
Guardian Dragon
boss fight is beautiful. Love the contrast in style/lighting walking out the back of
Aldia's Keep
.

This Giant Lord is really pissing me off.
I'm timed, I have to take out two Elite's before facing the boss and I am getting blasted with mortar fire.
Fun.

Using Claymore +5 (love the thrusting strong attack moveset).

Should I continue to upgrade this or is there anything even better soonish? (Just aced L
ost
S
inner
)

you don't have to kill them. You can run past them. And the bits poking further out over the ocean don't get hit by fire. I died a bunch figuring that out. Then I figured out the boss. I can help with that too if you need it.

Fun.

The two mobs take themselves out
mortar fire or the statue heads generally kills them without you having to lift a finger.

Fun.

Go to that first tower area and wait for the mortar strikes to hit. Something else will take out at least 1 one them as well. Just wait it out for a min.

The final stretch of terrain to the last boss relative to the nearest bonfire is the dumbest shit.

100% Agreed.

I dunno why those fucking doors just won't stay open. Why did they feel the need to make them auto-close again? Everything else in the game stays open, why not those fucking doors.

This too. I bought this up the other day, and got accused of "complaining". It is really stupid.

run past them
also
seriously, once you get to the boss, the head that falls down sections you off, it will just be you and him, and he's pretty easy, just block and strafe and stay behind him

I got him. He is easy as hell once you get there. I was too busy focusing on taking the others out first and avoiding the blast zone when I did not even need to.

Bell Keepers covenant is really starting to piss me off. Been at it for over an hour. Been invaded 9 times, been the invader exactly once. Tried both Sol and Luna, no difference at all.

Add to that it's like 5 minutes of waiting every time.

Seriously the
Ancient Dragon or whatever at the Dragon Shrine
is WAY, WAY HARDER than every boss up to this point. I only died to a few bosses, none more than twice before this, but now.. I just don't even know what to do. He has such a large amount of health and most of his attacks will one shot me or get incredibly close to doing so.

Cant you burn an effigy to be immune to invasions?

Go somewhere else with the ring on. You can be summoned to fight anywhere, but if you're in the tower you'll get invaded more often than you'll invade.

Is there a point where leveling ADP is useless?

I was wondering what the situation is with ADP and what ADP levels give you what advantages and how the equip burden roll speeds are like.

Also, whats a good dex weapon? I'm switching off between a falchion and heide knight sword. Haven't found anything better.

They changed something with the patch and being summoned as a grey spirit I think...I was going to try that ring that changes servers but I never got around to it.

Usually I stand there and watch the entrance for fog, if it takes too long I run out and then wait a few seconds and run back in and it usually matches me right away. I get invaded constantly though, without issue.

30 is the magic number for it. That's when diminishing returns iirc begins

Infact 30 seems to be the magic number for stats

I need a solution, please gaf.

When there is a message telling me about an illusory wall RIGHT in front of the wall, so I cant click the wall. WHAT DO I DO!?

The most frustrating thing in the world, and no hitting the wall does not work.

You got trolled. If there is a door, it'll open.

Wait in Lost Bastille, you don't get pulled in when you're actually inside luna.

I see the seems in the environment. it IS a wall. it just so happens to be unclickable because of this message. it had like 121 rating. I am not crazy or wrong. I hate fromsoft for making walls click X to enter.

edit: so I waited for the message to disappear (lol) and I still couldn't click it. It must be from the other side.

Na, seriously. You been troll-ol-ol-olled. Happened to me on a message that had over 250 ratings.

So I know that I could come back
after I beat the game to kill the Ancient Dragon and Vendrik
, but I'm so stuck on trying to get it over with right now. Been about two or three days and I haven't made any real progress.

for the ancient dragon, when you start the fight, he will roar. I ran up to his left hind leg (he is facing you) and just swung at it. Then I just stay real close to the leg so the dragon's A.I. will initiate that dragon stomp. Evade, move in but don't swing, and just keep moving in until the leg moves up a bit and swing 2-3 times.

I pretty much just stuck to his hind legs, and then when he flies up I run straight for his tail (spatial awareness always), and try not to get hit when he drops down since it is a OHKO.

I hit him about 3-4 times, then backup if he does that stomp, then as he slams his leg down I run straight up but I don't hit the leg because it moves up a bit (so not to miss a swing), then repeat.

For vendrick, it is very much a trial and error fight. Just dont get hit. Even at level 193 when I fought him, his sword took out about 80 percent of my health, which was at 1800 HP.

at about 50 percent hp left, he will have a new 3 swing move, with the third swing delayed quite a bit.

Credits and beautiful music.
Dat Nashandra. Love her design, but she is not too bad. The worst part is getting cursed so much.

At any rate, what a long and amazing journey. I'll be ready for some NG+ tomorrow.

I've been doing that for the Ancient Dragon, but it seems like no matter how well I do, somehow he'll always get me in a situation where I can't avoid his fire.

I honestly didn't think the A
ncient
D
ragon
was anything compared to some of the NG+ remixes, like fighting
two buffed up Pursuers simultaneously, or a stronger Lost Sinner backed by two Red Phantom pyromancers.

No breathing room with those fights.

be prepared to run with full stamina. dont be greedy.

and for some reason, my circle button on the ps3 has this delay when running. Cant imagine how many times I spat expletives just to get it to work.

anyways, dont run to the sides, run straight up to the tail but once you are close enough go to the side because you dont want to get hit when he comes down.

for the running, i figured it is better to do that roll first then just hold circle and run like hell.

edit: above atleast by then ill have my Moonlight Greatsword

Oh my God, I thought it was just my controller. I died a handful of times because I was holding down Circle, but my character was just walking along like he wasn't about to get consumed by flames.

I just remembered I still need to do the Dark Chasm. I'll be giving that a run before jumping into NG+. So much content, even after 80 hours.
