Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

N64 Andross didn't keep ahead of you in an on-rail section while repeatedly inhaling and breathing out polygons; N64 Andross had hands and other attacks that he used.

That's not an explanation.

Cause that andross looks like cranky kong, and cranky kongs going to be in smash 4.

:lol

1. most likely less strain on resources and 2. probably pretty novel to have SNES andross as obviously he doesnt look like that anymore, with that said N64 andross is a trophy.

Ah yeah resources could be a thing. Can't really think of any other massive assist trophies in Brawl so maybe they had issues and wanted him to be low poly.

Uncle Aaaaaaandrossssssss

Nice to see him back! It's always stood as a neat little reference to the oft-forgotten original Star Fox game. Also it's the first confirmed Star Fox thing in SSB4 since Fox himself, so... yay!

That's not an explanation.

What I mean is, with an enemy idea like Andross, having the character remain in a fixed position, as Andross does relative to the player in the SNES game, is advantageous. If the player/Andross position dynamic were used for Smash with N64 Andross... well, just picture that particular piece of zaniness in your head for a second, of Andross rotating all about the stage at all different distances.

Secondly, SNES Andross only used that single attack, which makes him more AT-friendly than N64 Andross who used his hands in addition to an attack that resembles SNES Andross. The inhale/exhale debris attack is what the developers want, not the hand business, so they went with the version of the enemy that used only that attack.

Too many reused AT's. If you wanted someone with that look Sakurai why not

It's only Pit, Mario and Fox on the picture besides Andross.
Andross joins the battle!
joking. Happy for Andross AT to be back :)

gotta replay some Starfox later today :D

Andross must have had some work done. He looks beautiful.

No Star Fox cuts in sight.
