well either i'm being stupid but i stopped leveling at 50 and just reached dranglic castle. is there a sweet spot in leveling up so that i get good amount of co-op throughout NG.

Your SL doesn't matter by itself. It's more about your Soul Memory. Even if you die with souls on you your Soul Memory value will go up. So better just spend those souls.

i'm around 150000 on that count, i bought alot of stuff just so i don't lose all that souls while not leveling up.

Oh man, rat authority, what a f**king mess. didn't count the attempts and no help available. toughest boss so far.

lol, I didn't even bother with that fight as I heard it was another boss + mob deal. Seems like every other boss in this game has you fighting multiple enemies or one big guy and a bunch of respawning little bastards that just get in the way.

Don't worry too much about it. You can't really control the current system. Just play the game and explore as much as you like. You aren't the only one doing so and will allways find people to play with.

This might change in hafl a year from now, but right now I wouldn't worry aobut it.

First time I saw these but what are the red summon signs and the grey summon signs? One of them had a dragon eye looking icon. I assume these are PVP?

I noticed that too. The biggest issue is the bosses are usually weak. That's why they have meat shields to zerg you.

Everybody should have the red soapstone. You basically invite someone to invade you by accepting those signs.

The grey one works the same way, except that you need to be in the
Dragon covenant
to use it.

I never PVP so that stuff doesn't interest me much

Careful with soapstones. You could get ganked

Been having fun with my dragon bros tho

Man some people get way too angry when they lose a pvp duel, had to block a guy on PSN because he was raging saying that i suck, Etc. I did call him a loser but that was after he raged and he did lost. I even trie to get a rematch with him and no go, i think his was master blaster or something blaster whatever.
Also is it just me or is the vengarl armor the elite set of this game? No armor has even come close to beat it in the stats, thankfully its looks pretty cool.

Nope, still not that. The horns were more plentiful, thinner, and curved upward like a mess of branches.
He talked about 8 horns, so I'm kinda lost at this point.

This maybe?

If it isn't that either you might want to check the armor overview yourself. There are lots of helmets with 2 "horns", but I can't think of one with 8 showing upwards.
Nope, not that. I'm checking the helm listing too, I've never come across any helm like that. I have messages blocked by default so I couldn't ask the guy.

I welcomed everyone with a Sunlight Spear to the face but thankfully didn't get any rage messages yet.

at least there are item boosting items to make it around 5%, still pretty bad though, can't be as bad as Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 though lol

So the skeleton lords at Huntsman Corpse... talk about an easy boss. Used aromatic ooze on falchion +5 and cut through them like butter

I had to summon help because of those fucking skele-wheels. The hit boxes on them are broke as fuck. Everyone else is super easy though.
I had (thought) I read there were 3 bosses in the Huntsman's Copse but its just the Lords and the chariot, right?

Yeah, just 2 bosses there. The skele-wheels weren't too bad, if you killed the Skeleton Lord that spawns them last.

Lol, when I did that fight I didn't realize it summons skeletons after each skeleton lord is downed. I killed all 3 skeleton lords at almost the same time and then had 15 or so skeletons to deal with, lol lots of running and dodging.

Yup. First time I did it I was like "this is easy, what's the big-OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD" and was dead.

Fuck it seems like I just wasted a yore branch for a weapon I will never use.
BK halberd.
ugh.

I just freed the imprisoned
human bird
with the fang key. Where can I now find her?

Same here but it literally took me about 15 seconds to kill off the lords and the magic falchion tore through the skeletons in 1 to 2 hits so it wasn't too bad. Wheels did spawn last and didn't seem to hit hard. All in all probably took less than a minute to beat them :p

ou can get that without using the FBY though. I like the halbeard though. Does fire damage, its probably my 4th go to weapon. Has a nice backstep attack as well.

I remember in Dark Souls, when you fought them in a really dark area underground, and the water was ankle or knee deep. They were pretty awful in that section. It took trial and error to figure out where each one was.

I don't know. Pretty much every enemy is easier the second time you encounter them.

Not saying that the ones in DS2 are easier by default, but you know what to expect and how to react. So they seem less of a problem.

These guides online are just as vague as the game itself.

Can someone please tell me how to get to the Shrine of Winter? And if it's that door in the Shaded Woods, how do I open it (produce the symbol of the king?). I've lit all primal bonfires.

Edit: nevermind, it's that OTHER door in Shaded Woods.

There's two doors in the Shaded Woods, both on different paths at the second bonfire in the area. One path has the Shrine of Winter, the other a King Door. You can't open the latter yet.

Shrine of Winter is the leftmost doorway from the ruined fork road. If you see the note telling you to produce the symbol of the key you took the middle path. To open the Shrine of Winter you need either four Great Souls or 1 million soul memory.
