. Fuck this place. Definitely the most challenging area so far thanks to
the millions of ranged spellcasters. Oh and if they don't kill me, I fall off the edge of the map.

Classic Dark Souls.

Just defended the bell, literally made it by a sliver of health, I could barely see it!! Fortunately the 'invader' had no shield and sucked at evading, SPAM MIRACLE

EDIT: Whoops, just invaded him again.

spent some time grinding the SunBro covenant to get the sun sword, and it was pretty worth it. The range is meh but not bad scaling, and it keeps scaling when infused, right? At least that's what it looked like. Haven't done it yet, but has anyone infused it with anything and is it worth it or is it better to take to normal +10. Trying to get away from the great sword and its slowness. Liking the claymore as well right now after I infused with lightning.

I've ran out of Alonne captain's to kill I think unless there is more inside the keep so I can't get the Alonne greatbow that I wanted :(. I had to get all those black steel katana's that I'm never going to use.

Even if you've depopulated
Iron Keep
you're not completely without non-Ascetic recourse. There are a few of them in
Drangleic Castle
near the
room where you activate the elevator that leads to the imprisoned Milfanito
hanging out in high places looking to snipe you. I think there are around 7 of them per run. They're the ones who dropped one for me out of the blue and lead me to decide to pump my DEX to 25 on my STR/Hex build, because who needs any stats other than STR, DEX, INT, and FTH?

Nobody, that's who.

The scaling will be lowered if you infuse it.

Melee character hell.

Get a good bow and five million arrows, and you should be alright.

You can get a shield with high magic block, like the Rebel Greatshield or the Silverblack shield.

I've not depopulated the whole area yet so I'ts just the easy to get captains are dead not the ones near the belfry sol ladder. So I can hopefully get one of of them. I might just use an asthetic but I don't know exactly how it works.

Also does anyone now how much of an affect soul history makes on co-op or is it still level based like dark souls was?

Well, shit. In my first playthrough I was teased by that loot and platform and tried to jump there so many times and eventually gave up. Turns out it's actually possible after all, haha. Probably a glitch though. Not that it really does much, since you can't do anything there without the
Ashen Mist thingie
.

It probably is, it is quite hilarious, though.

so apparently people can just drop poison shit on the ground that destroys all your equipment. Thats fun.

Do I really have to go through Grave of the Saints?

You can bypass the area altogether if you
get Gilligan (at Earthen Peak) to come back to Majula and pay him 12,000 Souls to drop a ladder for you. It will put it at an area that leads to a locked door (you'll get a key later) and you can drop past the place.

Alternatively, with the Silvercat Ring and enough HP you can make the drop to bypass it without the ladders.

Just beat the 2x
dragon rider
. Died 3x because of that stupid ass second one firing an arrow at me everytime I healed. Once I realized he had super low HP, I made him my target, and killed him. That was still a really hard fight. I tried to go to the left, but, he always hit me or shield stunned me.

You gotta be fucking kiddin. Another fucking room full of statues? Why are you so cruel from?

Actually, you can bait the first guy to hit the pillars of the platform the second guy is standing on so he drops down. Simplifies the fight tremendously.

At last, I am prepared. Let's do this.

how do I beat this room full of statues? 3 at once and that turns into 6, and I can't do much damage since y'know slashing and stone.

I still haven't got to those items there. :( I can't figure out how to do it.

It took me a while. I barely made it with
lots of HP (stat + rings), the Clothany Ring + Cat Ring, Armor with high fire def. and Flesh Sweat Pyromancy. Jumping down from the platform above (after you used the lever) makes it possible without water-rolling.

It's a lot easier if
you roll around in the Pharros Key waterbasin that is hidden up the ladder, but then you have to take a pretty difficult way back down, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you haven't defeated all enemies in the area

That was hilarious. I was at the Mirror Knight, and I THOUGHT I had died. I put my controller down, and was shaking my head only to notice that I had a pixel of life left. I freaked out, grabbed my controller, and proceeded to narrowly dodge a lightning attack. Then I healed and kicked the crap out of him.

Mirror Knight in 1!

Argh...so I used a bonfire ascetic for
the rotten
to try and get the Lucatiel trophy, but now that thing is kicking my ass (or rather kicking Lucatiel's before I can kill it)....sigh.... I think I need a better staff (still using the sorc +7) and stats to pull it off...

The Redeye Ring helps quite a bit when trying to keep NPC summons alive, makes the boss focus more on you.

It sure helped me a lot! :)

So, after my first play-through of utterly pancaking/stun-locking things with a Gyrm Great Hammer, I've respec'd to a high ADP DEX build with one attunement slot for NG+.

Dual wielding +10 Blacksteel Katanas.

This could be tough.

Stock up, definitely. They don't restock until you redo that progress that lead them to upgrade their inventory.

The one thing I forgot to stock up on before going to NG+ was arrows (both iron and poison)... on my dex. So I rushed to Iron Keep and to Doors of Pharros to get McDuff and Gavlan to sell their infinite arrow supply, hah. Made the early part of NG+ a bit tense because wooden arrows are such crap.

Thanks - I appreciate it! Any boss weapons I should pick up and what not?

FINALLY. (thats portuguese btw).

Over 50hs with my melee char and over 70hs with my archmage char to get this trophy.

It's been a long time since I actually went through a game to get a platinum.

Can anyone help with Scorpioness NG+? Technically NG but I burned an astetic. SL 68.

Had a few summons but they all died really quickly. Nothing for a good 10 minutes now.

The Tark dude dies insanely quickly on his own and I'm struggling to do her without help.

I just got invaded by what seemed to be like a hacked character.

I was trying to get summoned at the cardinal tower with a new character, level 13, SM around 5000.
got invaded by someone who stood there a good minute before moving, had both hand weapons invisible, used what I assumed was a greatbow (he was firing spear-like projectiles) and acid surge. he was probably trying the covenant and champion ring because he hit me barehanded once.

the worse is probably that I hit him a good 14 or 15 times with 4 backstabs and his life was still almost full.

that's the first time something like that happened to me. his username isn't appearing in my "players met" list neither. what the hell?

Yeah I tried that, but when he focused on me only I had a hard time casting hahaha!

I know that feeling. I did it 3 times as a caster and you just got to be patient and lear his moves. Put on the ring Redeye Ring and something for faster stamina recovery, circle strafe him with a shield that blocks 100% physical. After he's done with one of his attacks, you have a window where you can use 1 spell, 2 if your casting times are low enough. Never use 3 spells or he will attack you during your casting. After you've used 1 or 2 spells, let your stamia recover for a second and then repeat, with your shield up. Lucatiel is not affected by the lava and she does a good amount of damage even on NG+++ bonfire ascetic level. It helps if you try to have her at the back of the Rotten. This way, his attacks won't accidentaly hit her when he's aming for you. It also helps if you kite him in a way that he is positioned on top of the round lava pit to the right so you don't run the risk of stepping into it.

edit: Also, clear the path to the boss of those poison spitting statues so Lucatiel doesn't get poisoned.

I still haven't got to those items there. :( I can't figure out how to do it.

One tip is to
chug estus flasks (note plural), about 1/4 the way to the chest chug multiple estus flasks (2-3) run a bit further, chug 2-3 flasks again, repeat until you can get to the chest and open it.

Why do I keep getting blacksteel Katana's :(. Just give me a greatbow already I don't need three full sets of armor from you either.

So I actually experienced the Ring of Life protection bug. I died by felling into lava and I lost my souls, but kept my humanity. There was a blood stain so I could recover the souls at least.

So remember when I was telling you guys how awesome the sprinting light attack with The Washing Pole was? Uh, yeah, it's pretty much really stupid in lag.

So, any tips for Mirror Knight? He wrecks me everytime. I can't dodge his moves, if he jumps I can't dodge he always hits me. His NPC summons wreck me pretty hard, they have high HP and do a ton of damage combined with the boss fighting me and me already being injured from fighting the statues...

Sprinting 1h attack with katanas has some insane tracking abilities. It's one of my favourite opening moves.
