Quicksilver has always come off as that douchey character on the side that you just wanna smack upside the head. I don't know if it was spite, but it was definitely because Singer insisted that he needed Quicksilver for some special sequence in the film that could only work with him. I guess I can believe that, but then again, it probably is spite on Fox's part.

As someone who loves comics but is mostly unfamiliar with Marvel - particularly the mutants -- why is Quicksilver more of an Avenger's character than an X-Men one? Is that the same for Scarlet Witch? I just wonder how they are going to explain the mutant angle and I guess X-Men doesn't really exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, unfortunately. I wish Marvel had back all the rights to its characters.. >_>
