Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

In regards to the 2 versions if I am understanding this correctly the 3DS version will have less music then the Wii U version since it seems each stage is limited to 2 music tracks(3DS Version)?

You are indeed.

The 3DS won't have the space for a huge soundtrack like Brawl.

(Also I posted an answer to your post about Ridley on the previous page)

So Brawl had 16 newcomers. This so far has 6 if we don't count the characters that are now not part of another character or a transformation. (Sheik/ZSS/Charizard.)

I've said this elsewhere, I think we're going to get Pac-Man (or, alternatively, another third-party character like Snake, Rayman, or Bayonetta) and Mii at E3 and those will be all of the newcomers that we know about until release date. I think Ridley and Palutena will be the last characters you unlock.

EDIT: Speaking of fixes, how come they hardly made any progress in the online features? No hosting rooms are anything, just thrown into random battles.

You expect robust online features from a Nintendo game?
Surely you know to set your expectations realistically, right :P

Any reason someone can figure out why Olimar doesn't do -

Red->Yellow->Blue->White->Purple->Rock?

It just seems off to leave them out.

Just saw people speculating at smashboard about this pictures. Apparently they think they saw Mii on reflection of Freezie.

I thought it was amusing tho.

I saw. I think Other M Ridley makes the most sense but seeing is believing I guess. I give Sakurai an A for effort on the Trololo meter.

Same here.

I will have my vengeance for this.

I still hold to the idea of Ridley being both playable and a stage hazard, considering that we've had time-shifted versions of the same character at once before, as playable characters no less.

I don't know how true this is but found this thread on r/smashbros and I thought it pointed out something really interesting.

Thread in question which also uses the Sonic combo as the main example

I can't be bothered to dig through the other combos we've seen in trailers but if smoke trails appear almost every time you're launched into the air going into hitstun and end right as you go into tumble then the connection is clearly there. The Mario clip is a pretty clear cut example of it.

I skimmed through some parts of the direct and this looks like it might be true. Here's another example with Yoshi getting hit by Mario's dash attack. It looks like Yoshi was only able to attack once the trail was gone.

when greninja is upside down, before his "reveal", as he's charging up the water shuriken, his hands look kinda different to what they really look like. more slender and less webby

that's probably why i didn't think it was him at first. and because i was praying it was mewtwo. :(

Whelp, I'm off to bed. It's been an exciting past two days, and I wish I could stay up, but I can't show up to work tomorrow looking like a zombie.

So has anyone discussed that we saw the menu for (I think) the first time? Looks disappointingly like Brawl to me, at least so far.
Uhhhh that would be a good thing. The menus and UI in Sakurai's games have had a distinct look for a while now thanks to his wife. The snippet I saw looked nice and crisp to me.

Of course, if you didn't like Meteos's, Brawl's, or Uprising's, I'd suppose you naturally be disappointed.

SmashGAF what are your thoughts on the Wii Fit Trainer's extremely short landing lag in this gif? Could it be a cancel/tech of some sort or do you think she's just naturally that quick at getting up?

I definitely pointed this out before and folks thought I was going crazy/jumping to conclusions about the whole thing. It's been around since the E3 preview match with the only difference now being that the character who gets the KOs glows in a weird flame effect.

Sakurai did say all footage shown is subject to change so I'm not too bothered by it. If it's some sort of cancel then hallelujah, I want to see more. If it's natural, then... why?
