Yeah, the implications are actually huge. I'm glad it wasn't just straight Demon Soul's by another name. It's going to feel aesthetically fresh, and the gameplay implications of the weaponry type of guns alone should expand the potential strategic options.

At times like this I find strength in reading a good old thread about people judging upgrades and downgrades of GFX.

Right to free speech is nice and all, but you need some God damn evidence at this point.
I'm not Nostradamus. But that Call of Duty trailer looked like it should have been at the MS press conference, not 1 month before it. Coming out 1 month before lets them get all the attention before an E3 that is going to have a lot of big announcements from the sound of it. Then, the very next day, a big Sony exclusive leaks so it doesn't have all the attention.
And even though CoD is multi-plat, it's always been strongly linked to Xbox in the previous gen, and they're trying to do it with this one too. Having a Sunset Overdive cover before E3 just adds to more MS press, and frankly, kind of supports the theory that this was leaked to counter it a bit and divide attention.

This is the problem. Everyone, who obviously remembers Majula better than you, has told you that you're wrong.
You tell everyone that they don't know which part you're talking about, but refuse to look through a YouTube video and find the right scene.
I found the Watch Dogs downgrade-ton amazing. Even before that thread, I was saying the images were really bad captures from an open world game, and people wanted to freak out anyway.

No clue how I never knew about that stuff. I looked up unused content for Dark Souls but no idea how I never looked up that stuff in Demon's Souls, especially with the broken archstone.
Anyways, I'm hyped for more info on this.

I can already imagine dodge/rolling/shotgunning. Run in for a heavy sword attack, dodge/roll back, fire shotgun, jump back in... It makes so much sense in addition to the existing DeS/DaS combat formula.

They look similar because they are both gates. But that's where the comparison ends. The environment and gate design are still vastly different, and that structure in the distance isn't in Dark Souls 2 either.
