you know, if some story of relevance is breaking right this second, then nirolak is right there to split a post from a thread to turn it into a thread OR he' makes the thread OR edit said thread to make it as correct and informative as possible.

Also he's a better sleuth than most games journalists, and is able to piece together resumes and rumors to make discoveries. Information that is out there for anyone to find but he's the one that puts in the effort.

First, I believe emotion clouds analysis and objectivity; second, I often have controversial opinions or express depressing observations, and as such I deliberately attempt to avoid seeming hostile or angry or lugubrious when I express those opinions and observations.

But you are correct that this approach also seems to have downsides to many people. I can seem aloof and emotionless. This is not because I legitimately lack emotion; it's because I feel emotion has very little place in debate. This is simply an explanation of my tone.

Every time I read a mod post here, I am amazed at the vocabulary used. And it's not fluff, the posts are always well written and contain amazing points.
