Phosphora's Wii U trophy model was also new. I don't think it means anything really, though it'd be nice if we don't get a repeat of Brawl's onslaught of trophies mostly dictated by whatever promotional models they had handy from recent games. Meant 2D-only franchises like Wario and Mother got jack.

My sympathies, TW101 fans. I didn't care about Wonder Red being playable myself and never really thought he would be, but it always sucks when fans of a character are disappointed.

The difference is Wonder Red is an awesome character AND from an awesome game.
Shulk is one of the worst characters from an awesome game, but we are just all resigned to him being in (if anyone) since he's the main character...and better him than no one.
But let's be honest, pretty much any of the other Xenoblade characters would be better. At least they can do cool stuff with the Monado, I guess.

Exactly. We don't want Shulk because he's Shulk. We want to behold the power of the Monado. No other character has a weapon nearly as great or with the amount of gameplay possibilities.
he has a trophy, some of the playable characters and assists in brawl have a trophy too no?

I'd still rather have Dunban, Reyn, Riki, Melia, or the 7th character. Dunban aside they could do interesting things moveset-wise that is unlike the rest of the cast. I feel they could probably differentiate Dunban too from, say, Marth. Yeah Shulk will make for a great moveset with Monado stuff, but as a character he's the weakest/dullest...and everyone else would also make for a great moveset. We just know he'll be the one to make it out of Xenoblade since he's the main character.
All of them do, but barring trolling you would think Sakurai would mention if he was an AT...like he has in every other case.
I think it's kinda similar to how he's trophy only like that girl ..ashley from another code R, trophy that was in brawl

I suppose that's true. I don't have anything against Shulk, but I'd be just as happy with someone like Riki getting in. I think I mainly just want to see a playable Xenoblade rep in Smash.
I do, however, think Shulk would be the most likely to get in, and with the Monado I think he's probably also fits in the best with the rest of the Smash cast. I know how much Sakurai loves his sword wielders.

Them having a trophy for Wonder Red and the fact they actually have OTHER Wonderful 101 trophies has me mighty suspicious of a Platinum representative. It's not on my wanted list, but if Wonderful 101 has not one trophy, but several, then that makes it sound like it's relevant to something else in the game.
Hell, this is making me think that Wonderful 101 might get a stage rather than a character, because then maybe the Wonderful 101 cast would make cameos in the stage. Know I'm not the first to the idea but was also my first thought.

At least, Wonderful 101 is in Smash 4. I knew that Wonderful 101 characters had no chance to be playable characters or assist trophies because it required good amount of models to make a move. Sorry, Wonderful 101 fans. I will be one of them when I managed to sit down and play the game. It's still sealed.
I could predict that we would get, Red, Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Black and White.
