Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Remakes Announced for 3DS

Diamond and Pearl remakes, most likely. I've always chuckled at the idea that generations that have already been remade... should get ANOTHER remake. Nah, man. GF has settled into a nice groove with these.

They could handle that in any number of ways. Restrict access to them until post-game, a certain point in the plot, etc... Honestly, it depends on how closely GF want to adhere to the originals.

The games that got third versions or remakes aren't canon.

I'm willing to give the game another chance because I absolutely adored the contest stuff, but only if it is nothing more than a re-skin of X & Y. I simply could not play through Hoenn again if it's just the same game with better visuals, that gen was a step back from GSC at the time.

How do fuck can people hate Sinnoh/Gen IV? It was so good. The music alone would make the game worth playing, even if it was total crap.

I do understand the hate Gen IV gets though, it's pretty flawed. Platinum fixed most of my complaints however so that's nice.

I love Ground types, so I've always been more of a Groudon fan than a Kyogre fan.

Hoenn has the best legends. Hope the Regi trio get some buffs because they're my favorites.
 
Well that came out of nowhere. Actually it's been heavily hinted in XY but what a tease reveal.

Grass starter Mega Sceptile for Smash 4 incoming??? One can dream...

Yes, but so are X and Y, yet people seem to love the games. I really hope the third version fix X and Y problems, Gen VI had a lot of potential.
 
Did X/Y ever get placed in the Pokémon timeline? As far as Gen V, the time line was:

FireRed&LeafGreen/Emerald -> (3 Years) -> HeartGold&SoulSilver/Platinum -> (more than than 3 years) -> BW -> (3 Years) -> BW2.

IM SO HYPE RIGHT NOW

No specific period of time is given, but there are several NPCs that refer to Team Plasma in past tense. The leap between DPPt and BW was pretty obvious what with Caitlin all grown up.

I don't see the problem with that. The first remakes we got are very outdated gameplay-wise. I think Gen I fans deserve to play through Kanto in glorious 3D graphics.
 
I'm hoping they don't give us shit tier cameras... from x and y of course. I mean if it's going 3d that's the camera design they'll probably use.

Platinum is my GOAT Pokemon game, and I don't even like Gen IV's world or Pokemon that much. It's just so perfectly paced and packed with content.

Also, Gen IV fans are the coolest bunch of Pokemon fans. They rarely fight in gen wars and are generally chill.

Hope the 7th gen remake is awesome. #SINNOHCONFIRMED

Except Kanto got remade in HGSS, too. Four cpnsecutive generations of playable Kanto should be enough to last a lifetime, especially now Bank exists.

I responded to someone who had the idea that we could have a Kanto remake of games that were already remakes (FR/LG), instead of having a Sinnoh remake because they were released before the 4G. It isn't consistent. You don't make a remake of a remake.

Yes, but Kanto in GSC/HGSS is lackluster as fuck. It is not the same as playing through the region in RB/FRLG.

Still, as I said, I'd vastly prefer Diamond and Pearl remakes in Generation VII. Platinum is pure bliss, I want to travel through Sinnoh in decent graphics someday.
 
These games will obviously have elements of Emerald in the game right? Like with Crystal in HeartGold and SoulSilver? I wanna beat the Battle Frontier and catch that Sudowoodo again. Lol

I loved Emerald. :)
 
Those Braille puzzles were really annoying back before I started using Google for everything. Should be an interesting experience this time around if I ever get a 3DS.
