oh wow that was amazing.

oh wow that was amazing.

So many lols in that:

'Otherwise known as Sweet Billy'

'Wii U? People, let's not make hasty decisions we'll regret later down the line'

'It was fucking jokes people, I was just rolling y'all!'

If Gaf can make an E3 one that is as funny as that, I'll be real happy

Surprised DemonNite hasn't posted any new gifs yet. Some of the best gifs from last year's pre-E3 thread came from him.

Sony as a whole has locked down compared to the other manufacturers. Nintendo released that E3 video not too long ago with Reggie. MS is constantly hyping their show. And Sony isn't saying much at all.

With Jack Tretton out, I wonder who's going to be the lead speaker at E3. Phil Spencer is an obvious substitute for Don Mattrick and he has had a lot of speaking opportunities at past conferences. But it's not as clear for Jack's replacement—would they let the new guy on stage so quick (he would have only held the role for 2 months at the time of the conference).

I would think that the best choice would be have the new guy start it out and be the person to talk about media/OS/policy/PSNow stuff, but to hand it over to Yosp for all first party, Boyes for all third party, and House for any unexpected megatons.

Last year we saw a lot of different speakers at E3, and i'm guessing we'll see a similar pattern this year.

So 2013 had Jack Tretton, Shuhei Yoshida, Adam Boyes and Andrew House as the primary speakers. I'm guessing that it'll be the last three that does the pushing this year, mainly because I don't think there will be as much talk as last year. There will be no need to talk about hardware (sans morpheus) nor policies.

Some major sales talk bound to happen though.

I was on the hype train but now I'm not :(

I mean the pic of the train, my hype hasnt decreased at all.

Lovin these gifs

Edit: Oh an yeas, can I get back on the train/sub !?

Alright GAF, I'm back. Anyone still looking to board?

Yeah, I'm definitely down to board that Cerny HypeSub. Add me, please!

I could see Andrew House doing a significant portion of it. He's a terrific speaker, imo, and has his own swagger. Boyes and Shu should definitely be a big part of things as well as they are some of the more prominent public faces for Playstation and are eminently affable guys.

I'd love to see Cerny because he brings his own speaking style that comes off almost manic at times. I really enjoy watching interviews with him.

Speaking of interviews, I started to look at some videos with Shawn Layden-- the man that stepped into Jack's shoes-- and I have to be honest that his facial expressions and delivery reminded me way too much of Mattrick. This isn't a knock against his ability to execute his position as CEO, but rather just an observation that in the few things I have seen him in, have given me pause because of his delivery, and I personally would rather see a known quantity like Boyes, House, and Yoshida up on stage next month; there's no way Layden won't be there though, so I guess we'll see if he's up to the task (again, from a presentation standpoint).

I would love it if the OT for the presentation makes some sort of Professor Layden (Layton) joke.

To be fair to him I don't think we have seen him on a E3 like stage so far. Just some formal presentation in which I thought he did a good job. Time will tell

I remember all the hype and anticipation about Kaz turning up to lead the PS4 reveal presentation and it never materialized.

Then less people expected him at the following e3 and again, no show.

I wonder if we'll ever see him at a big games event again.

To have my forum avatar superimposed onto the image of a submarine: such has always been my life goal.

I wonder if the PS3 will take up much of Sony's conference. I recall the first few years of the PS3's life, where we had to endure numerous reiterations of PS2 sales statistics. I don't want the PS3 swept under the rug, but I hope it's not too prominent. Though there are still a lot of games to come out for it...
