I like how we've gone from this

LMAO! That WiiU "Oh come on!!!" is a nice touch. XD

Killzone and Tearaway both were from English studios. Invizimals was from an Spanish studio. Shahid's team works for SCEE. The famous JRPG campaign was SCEE's, MegaPacks are a SCEE things, they don't exist in Europe. The Vita is nowhere to be seen on E3, but it has a strong presence at GamesCom.
Also, games like Invizimals, Murasaki Baby and Big fest are from external studios, but funded and published by Sony. SCEA does nothing like that on Vita(while on PS4 they have Rime and Rapture, for example)

SCEA is shit when it comes to Vita, but the sad part is that their shitty Vita support lead people to believe that the rest of SCE is shit too.

It doesn't seem like SCEA has ever really supported the idea of portable gaming. Neither the PSP or the Vita have ever been properly marketed, nor supported with adequate software. It's a shame really.

Hopefully the new, Shawn Layden, turns things around.

Actually PSP had a good support by SCEA too.

Bought Cel Damage HD today, looks and plays nice and is pretty fun in splitscreen (PS4). For the price it's completely worth it, especially with 3-platform cross-buy.

The Vita port is also surprisingly very good, shame for no multiplayer though :( native res and good framerate.

Is it possible to play on Vita against PS3 users locally?

That's why I have some hope for Layden. He worked for SCEJ and he has a few psp games in his CV.

How about the guys like Kain, Locke, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, Vaan, and Snow?

Male characters are a bit hard for me to compare to something.

However Squall is my favorite FF male. Followed by Laguna, Locke, Balthier, & Sazh.

Auron, Zell & Cecil are my honorable mentions.

Im between SSD or Borderlands 2

keep in mind I already have the original SS. which one should ?

bought prince of persia: forgotten sands psp in the ubisoft eu sale and beat it last night. really underrated (or more just forgotten, i guess) 2.5d platformer. controls smootly and the level design is thoughtful, aside from some somewhat repetitive combat (it's primarily platforming though) and requires skill and precision. it's about 5-6 hours long which is just right given the mechanics it has - i'd feel miffed if i paid £30 but at £2 on sale i was really happy.

Hahaha, I'm such an idiot :(
Bought Ridge Racer Ultimate and the dumb store doesn't download all the included DLC. So I visit the store and download all the stuff manually expecting everything to be free. The slow ass store doesn't load the prices in the main menu...
Because there are like 30 different things I didn't really look while doing the monotonous task and I bought a shitty car accidentially for €1.49.
thought Ultimate meant with every DLC. Scamco, Sony's stupid store design and my stupidity played me :/

And it wasn't even the cool Daytona car, which wouldn't have been that bad.

Funny thing, I can also buy the music packs that Ican download for free.

You haven't put a password when buying?

Moero chronicles new video

Those mushrooms lol...

I assume you're talking about mushroom head.

I haven't watch that, but the game also has a Condogolem - a golem wearing...

No, it would annoy the hell out of me. I am the only one who uses the devices, my nephews know not to do shit when they are allowed to play and I only use prepaid cards, so no credit card.

Edit: and while I am rambling anyway, a music pack on the German store has Dutch descriptions, lol.

Are the Muramasa DLCs worth that price?

Only played a little bit of the first DLC and I liked it. The combat is quite different, one of the early bosses as an incredible difficulty spike though.
Loved the main game so I am happy to support Vanillaware and if you like the game, the DLC is worth it.

BTW, in case noone knows, there'll be a demo that lets you try out the new weapons in Toukiden.

Edit: Or at least they're considering making one.

I agree.

All the "compilation" was pretty underrated. PS360 game is great, as is the Wii one, as the PSP version they have "gimmicky" platforming but done very well.

The only one I skipped was the DS one, because it was a spiritual sequel to Fallen King, which was complete shit.

Considering that there is only so much of Vanillaware stuff... If you like them, then absolutely yes.

I love them.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and buy it.

Just noticed that I finally have all of Vanillaware's games. :D

Lost my copy of Odin Sphere when I got robbed while bringing it back home from a friend's house. Thank you Sony for PS2 classics on PS3!

It's a shame that GKH, Kumatanchi, and Princess' Crown never got localized.

----

Quick question. Is Chocobo Racing available for the Vita?

I cant wait to see what Vanillaware's next project is!

Hopefully another Vita game..... Ive been barking for a Grand Knights History sequel or Vita port but I think its highly unlikely that they will revisit that game....

Sucks cuz I LOVED what little I played of it on PSP

i bought the ps3 version of forgotten sands in the same sale so i'm looking forward to trying that

didn't realize the wii version was different as well. i might get that if i'm not prince of persia'd out.

Incidentally how well does Odin Sphere run on Ps3, as the Ps2 originally had horrible amounts of slowdown.

Yeah, they did a different game for each platform except PCS360. The Wii game is made by the same people who made the PSP version, and is maybe one the game that best use the wiimote, once you'll have unlocked all the powers and start combining them.

Looking at the E3 website (http://www.mapyourshow.com/shows/index.cfm?show_id=e314&norepeat=true), there is some companies that appears when looking for Vita games right now:

- Atlus USA
- Bandai Namco
- Xseed
- Maximum Games
- Telletale Games
- Focus Home Interactive (?)
- Hyperkin (?)
- Behaviour Interactive (?)

Last year

- Tecmo Koei
- Xseed
- Aksys
- Deep Silver (?)
- Virtuos games (?)
- Rebellion (lol)

Your list from last year should tell you how inaccurate it can be.

Got my first platinum trophy yesterday (Gravity Rush). Vita is my first Sony console since PS2, so I'm just getting started getting to know the online infrastructure. I kind of want to go back to Guacamelee and beat it in hard mode to get its platinum trophy as well =/

Beat Deception IV (Vita) last week. Such a satisfying game and it really was fun figuring out looping trap combos. Maybe one day I will go back and try to get platinum, but for now I am going to tackle P4G and Gravity Rush.

Played Ridge Racer for about an hour. The actual gameplay is fun and after downloading all the DLC the amount of content is ok for the price I paid. Still sucks that there isn't a real campaign mode though. You can only do single racers after each other and have to go through the horribly designed touchscreen menu every time.

After already buying the Pacman car skin accidentially I just bought the Daytona DLC to really have an ultimate experience. It's not really worth it though. Don't like the song that much, expected more from it. But for what it's worth, it's probably the closest thing to the Sega arcade racers (except the PSP games) we will get on Vita and the nostalgia got the better of me. What would I give for an Outrun...

Back to Ridge Racer, if you are looking for a good old arcade racer, you should consider it. Unfortunately, there aren't many alternatives to it on the Vita.

The slightly porno but animation-like PlayStation®Vita game “Genkai Tokki Moero Chronicle” from Compile Heart is out tomorrow. The prequel “Genkai Totsuki Monsuta Monpisu” is a card game, while “Genkai Tokki Moero Chronicle” reveals itself as a dungeon crawler, retaining your beloved “Heartbeat♥Scratch” feature! I started right off from the first chapter after getting the game, but since this game is pretty suggestive in many ways, it takes some courage to play if you have someone peeping over your shoulder.

At least they are up front about it.

As suspected it looks like Bigfest is multiplatform.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/05/14/promote-real-music-in-bigfest-on-ps-vita/

See the video. While browsing the friend list to visit their festivals you can clearly see ps vita being mentioned. If it was exclusive why would they specify the platform.

You know that's just the announcement trailer from Gamescom 2013? So the platform listing was there all along and it would have been multiplatform from the start.

The blogpost is in the category PS4 though, lol.

It's a "PS2 Classics" so it's straight-up emulation, can't really be better than the real deal.

I remember reading that it actually runs better than the ps2 version as most of the slowdown has been ironed out. Having not played any version of it I can't really vouch for that but, afaik, it doesn't run worse than it did originally.
