Cincinnati is my other option, I just don't know if a two hour drive is worth my time.

Nintendo World better end up doing something. It will really annoy me if Best Buy gets all of the action and Nintendo's flagship store just ignores all of their fans.

Looks like Mira Mesa is the closest to where I'm at right now, 20-25 minutes from home, so that's a good thing.

Keep your eyes on the location because I noticed that they are still changing or updating the locations. They removed one location from Mass this morning.
Last night, I remembered Mass had 5 cities. I decided to double check this morning it was only 4 cities.

I went to a Missisauga location last year and it was basically the same thing. Kids driving off the stage in Mario Kart, kids taking forever to finish the 3D world demo, kids that have no idea how to beat the boss in Wind Waker...
This only becomes annoying when there are 40 people in line waiting to play, there's a ridiculously small 4 hour time window to play the demos, and an otherwise short demo becomes up to 20 minutes long because the kid just has no idea what he/she is doing, Nintendo rep trying to help be damned.
It doesn't seem like that will be a problem this year though, as the Smash demo will likely be 4 players and 2 minute free for alls.

Yep I'm thinking it should go a lot smoother considering the matches should be timed. The only thing that could take up time would be character selection, but I can't imagine they'll let people get hung up on that for longer than a few minutes.

It was different for me. Everyone was only allowed 10 minutes. So that was enough for like 3 Mario Kart races or 2 3D World levels or like nothing of WW. Only 1 person chose DK.
What was annoying was the 1 Nintendo rep focusing on 2 little kids. He gave them Luigi coins and other stuff and theh had no idea what it was. He then convinced them to sign up even though the mother didn't want that.
This rep also kept a bunch of merch for his friends. The big merch like shirts and hats and bags.
Hopefully a group of 4 is allowed at least 2 matches.

Pretty shocked my store in Augusta GA has it. We had the stuff last year too.

I don't think so as if it's like last year they will be using the in store demo units. It think the front of the console is covered preventing plugging in the adapter to the usb slots.
Also I don't think they would risk losing one of those Gamecube controllers before release.
The Gamestop Brawl midnight release tournament was wiimote only so I'm expected something similarly disappointing.
It's probably easier for the reps to not have to deal with setting up and giving a rundown on an unreleased addon.

I'm not entirely picky with whatever y'all want to do. I'm going to be happy to get a lot of informations in a week.
When people say NYC they mean Manhattan, and occasionally, more recently at least, Brooklyn, too.
That location is in very close to an M/R subway stop. I just did a quick route in google maps and that Best Buy is 22 minutes away from the Nintendo World store (subway + walking time).
If you're coming from Manhattan, you still have one in fairly close proximity to you relative to a lot of the people in this thread. Some people are talking about driving for 3 hours, etc.
Well I live near Atlanta so I'll try to go to the Buckhead location on the 11th (Wednesday) and stay until they kick me out lol. Any other gaffers from Atlanta going to that one?
I'll definitely be trying Olimar. As far as newcomers I'm gonna try Megaman, Villager, Greninja. At least try...

I just love how suddenly Brooklyn can be talked up as being part of NYC (you know, like it should be/is) instead of just "Brooklyn". This is coming from someone who's lived here all 24 years of his life.

I live down in Peachtree City, but I may drive up to the Buckhead one on the 11th. It is my one day off in the middle of a work marathon. What better way to relax than to place Smash!
Well, 3DS has download play. They could set up a local event that way, but it would be a bit more disorganized.

Tempted to make a SmashGAF sign.
I'm personally not going to do anything too visible, but it am going to make my street pass message into something neogaf related.
I had it as "NeoGAF, Believe" for NYCC last year and I'll probably go with that for this event.
