Cincinnati is my other option, I just don't know if a two hour drive is worth my time. There isn't one in Dayton, but there is one in the suburbs of Cincinnati. Think I'll try there.
Nintendo World better end up doing something. It will really annoy me if Best Buy gets all of the action and Nintendo's flagship store just ignores all of their fans.
I couldn't possibly imagine going to Toronto's Best Buy. Those little screaming midgets would be more than a damn minor annoyance, especially if it's after school.
I went to a Missisauga location last year and it was basically the same thing. Kids driving off the stage in Mario Kart, kids taking forever to finish the 3D world demo, kids that have no idea how to beat the boss in Wind Waker...
This only becomes annoying when there are 40 people in line waiting to play, there's a ridiculously small 4 hour time window to play the demos, and an otherwise short demo becomes up to 20 minutes long because the kid just has no idea what he/she is doing, Nintendo rep trying to help be damned.
It doesn't seem like that will be a problem this year though, as the Smash demo will likely be 4 players and 2 minute free for alls.

So... any chance we'll be playing these demos with a Gamecube controller?
If they're using them at E3 I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't bring them to these Best Buy events.

Im surprised none of the stores in NYC are getting it. Herculesdissapointed.gif
Will most likely be at the Buckhead Best Buy location on the 14th. Hope I can get myself a coin.
Sweet. Me and my roomies are going. Maybe I will bring a SmashGAF sign so we can hook up with fellow GAFFERS

ATTENTION: Sorry for the doublepost but I just wanted to put out a BULLETIN on Gameplay/Character REQUESTS for those going to E3/SmashFest;
If you are NOT going and have REQUESTS for characters or specific mechanics that you would like to see, use THIS thread to make them.
Many of us are going to be FILMING while we aren't playing and having friends film us while we are so again, if you have a character, moveset or mechanics REQUEST, NOW is the time to start posting your lists!
WE HAVE 9 DAYS PEOPLE!!!
I would love to honor some peoples requests and will be filming in 1080p.
I see four and one of them is long island city which is in Queens.
That location is in very close to an M/R subway stop. I just did a quick route in google maps and that Best Buy is 22 minutes away from the Nintendo World store (subway + walking time). When people say NYC they mean Manhattan, and occasionally, more recently at least, Brooklyn, too.
Well I live near Atlanta so I'll try to go to the Buckhead location on the 11th (Wednesday) and stay until they kick me out lol. Any other gaffers from Atlanta going to that one?
I'll definitely be trying Olimar. As far as newcomers I'm gonna try Megaman, Villager, Greninja. At least try...

Meee. Also going to the buckhead best buy and intend on trying Marth, Little Mac, & Samus if possible.
When not playing, I will be filming.

Well, 3DS has download play. They could set up a local event that way, but it would be a bit more disorganized. You can have a single Wii U demo station and have multiple people play it. You can't do that with a 3DS.
Alright! Hopefully I can meet you there and whoever else from GAF.
I'm personally not going to do anything too visible, but it am going to make my street pass message into something neogaf related.Tempted to make a SmashGAF sign.
