Earlier this month, we reported that there would be no digital upgrade option for the PlayStation 3 version of Ultra Street Fighter IV in Australia and New Zealand, due to a conflict with Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) age ratings.

Capcom confirmed at the time that the Xbox 360 version would not be affected, though it was not clear why this was the case, given that OFLC ratings are typically the same across platforms.

A spokesperson for the publisher has elaborated on the situation in a statement sent to NZGamer.com, explaining that it is due to Sony's best practice regarding age ratings.

"Due to conflicting age rating with the OFLC the digital upgrade is not available on PSN across Australia and New Zealand. This is the result of a Sony policy reflecting best practice for age ratings.

"More specifically, Ultra Street Fighter IV has an ‘M’ classification, whereas Super Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade have ‘PG’ classifications. Best practice with Sony means that an update may not have a different classification from the original title. However, Ultra Street Fighter IV PS3 will still be released as a standalone retail boxed version in Australia and New Zealand.

"This is not the case with Microsoft, so both the digital upgrade and the stand alone retail boxed versions will be released in Australia and New Zealand."

There has actually been a big crackdown on choking lately (if you put your hand on somebody's neck in Australia, you are in big trouble).

I think I faced that same guy on ranked and beat him. He taunted me in the round he was going to beat my Dudley and that came back to bite him in the butt. Either way, he is a dick for doing that to you. He sent me a message saying "I got lucky".
 
Damn, Elena and Poison changed the game's classification! I kinda understand why...just wonder why MvC3 didn't got any claims since...c'mon, Felicia is naked!

The site I write for qualifies for getting a review copy, but I'm fairly certain we aren't on any Capcom lists quite yet. No review codes for any recent Capcom titles have come my way.
 
I was able to download ultra and the costume packs. I tried to run the ps+ version of AE and didn't work. As much as capcom goofs I was hoping the download would work early.

im 38 i play online on pc and 360. gamer tags are the same as name here. Im not very good, but i play for funs and frustrations. haha

This is the best hatemail and it was pretty easy to get in MvC3. You can win even when you lose.

This was back when I first started trying to learn SF4/FG's so the hatemail just made me feel like I was even shittier than I already was.

I wanna get dat win hatemail, Ive yet to see it once :( I have gotten salty rage quits before though.

This is the best type of win. Its happened to me a few times with 3k+ ppers looking to troll my scrub ass and then get bopped. Of course they try to rematch and I refuse. Hold dat L.
