Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 8: Put mii in, coach

Did he say he's going Marth?

If so, him.
I read somewhere that he's pretty much going to pick whoever he thinks feels good after playing.

But he does play a lot of Marth anyway. In Brawl he plays Marth, which is probably a better parallel for this game than anything else is.

Welp.

I'm guessing that nobody is going to pick Rosalina at all. Too technical to just pick up and play unless all those 16 get to practice beforehand.

Umm, you do realize there are items for the first two rounds, right. Her gravity pull could help immensely.

Besides, from what the people have been tweeting newcomers looking likely to be picked

Little Mac is going to own in FFA. Powerful smash attacks plus OHKOs

Depends on stages he gets to play on. His OHKO will be amazing for FFA though, if pulled off well.

Although a character like him would be very hindered by random boxes or bombs coming out of nowhere'

Here's my question though, will there be smash balls, and is Sonic in tourney?

It'll be interesting to see how they handle Final Smashes in the tournament.

Super Sonic will almost definitely be nerfed because and that's great because it's getting tiring to hear that every other FS is awful just because it's not Super Sonic.

Not so great if Sonic doesn't get buffs in pretty much every other area, considering that was basically his only really reliable killing move. (Maybe forward Smash, too.)

If we assume For Glory is going to be some kind of baseline for balance in this one, then they'd have to address that. It might not be what they're balancing around, but then it's kind of silly to make that the "srs bsns" mode.

Little Mac will surely dominate.

He's fast, powerful, has a OHKO.

His only weaknesses are his air game and recovery. It all depends how difficult he is to learn, I guess.

Little Mac is fast, has super armor and his KO meter. Items won't be a problem for him, it'll be the 4 players situation that messes with him. Spacing is hard with 4 players.

Kirby will definitely get picked cause hats. If Kirby gets Little Mac's KO meter when absorbing him, that will be incredible.

I'm thinking DK and Sonic probably won't get picked. For the other two, probably Link and Olimar. No one in the tournament has a really good Olimar, so they won't have a good base to test his changes. Link has been low tier since Melee, so he probably won't get picked.

Y'all need to remember that tier lists are based on 1v1 with no items, so characters who are generally high or low tier won't necessarily still be high or low tier. Zelda's Neutral B would be an invaluable tool in FFA. It hits both sides of her, it grants some slight invincibility, and it also reflects projectiles.

Zelda's getting picked anyway though, also FFA doesn't help Link any!
