I think people are mainly thinking of next-gen console exclusives, not PC exclusives or cross gen. You remove those and... it's probably not as bad a list as people feared, but certainly far less impressive.

Nevermind that I'm not so sure how great of an idea it is to list annual games as a counter, or at least those like sports games. Of course Fifa (and Madden) are going to come out, when they don't it's time to enter full on panic mode.

Smash, Sunset, Horizon 2, there's plenty of amazing looking exclusives coming this yr.

But why limit themselves like that? I mean, it's one thing saying "there's no games I'm personally interested in since I have a PC" is completely different then coming on here and complaining about there being no games this year when in fact, there is already plenty. I hate delays, but in a way, it's not so bad since I was going to have to sacrifice a few games here and there to buy others. Now, I can buy mostly all the games I'm interested in since they're spread out better.

It feels like this was just announced within like the last month, why would you announce a release date and then delay it immediately after.

So strange.

before this WB put Shadow of Mordor and Arkham Knight back to back which sounded a bit crazy since it looked like they will hurt themselves but I guess they knew that they'll delay it.

The reveal demos they were showing press apparently ran like dogshit. Maybe it was a really optimistic date from WB and eventually Rockstar had to go "No, this isn't happening, change it before we have to say 'October' over and over at E3."

So like... what blockbuster games are actually coming out this year?????

Plenty. I will get those for PS4:

Battlefield: Hardline
Farcry 4
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Destiny
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Dragon Age Inquisition
Driveclub

And maybe there are a few surprises at E3. I mean Battlefield Hardline was only yet revealed, and it will be released in fall. I imagine there could be more E3 game reveals like this.

Good, another year that I don't have to buy a PS4.

God damn, I guess I won't be needing to buy a next gen console till next year.

Why, because of one game?

I'm fine with this delay. I've already got so much stuff to play this fall, especially in Oct. Oct alone has Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age, Middle Earth, Evolve and The Evil Within.

Did you see the second trailer? The Batmobile is driving down the street full of people and one jumps out the way. Not GTA style jump out of the way, like scripted can never get hit jump out of the way.
Yeah I noticed that. I guess when you try to hit someone with the gatling gun something similar will happen, or you won't be able to fire in the first place.

In some odd ways, I figured this was going to get delayed :/

Sadness- as it seems 2015 will the be the year of everything! I hope it is a better game for the needed time!

Nothing is safe!

Isn't this one of the fastest delay announcements ever? It's only been 3 months... surely there we're signs back then. I thought this one was safe as it was announced so recently.

Also the delay announce was embargoed? ... why? I don't even see an official press release yet with apologies etc...

Bummer. It seems a long time since I opened the taps on my PC with a new high end game. I hoped this would be the one.

Oh well, I can wait. There's still plenty to play this year for my tastes!

Umm no? Almost every XBO and PS4 game that was exciting to me this year ended up getting delayed. There's been more than just Batman that has gotten delayed or annoucned for next year. Between the Xbox One and Playstation 4 there has been ONE game since launch that I want to play (Infamous SS) and as of right now there's only one game coming out this year that I want to play for those systems (Sunset Overdrive). Everything else is either current gen or I cam play on my PC.

I was hoping that E3 would have a TON of stuff to convince to me get a next gen console this year, but there just hasn't been. My fingers are crossed that there's still a few surprises that might push me over the edge, but as of right now there's no reason for me to jump into either new system this year.

Yeah, there's a few games on systems I own already that I already knew I'll buy like Smash Bros for the 3DS, Borderlands Pre-sequel, and Dragon Age, but I'm not overly excited for anything coming out this year.

Smash Bros will be Smash Bros, so I know what to expect there, Borderlands seems more like a beefy expansion pack than a whole new game, and DA:I is the third game in a series with one game I loved and one game I hated so I'm more worried about the game than I am hyped for it.

There's a decent amount of solid looking games coming out, but looking at the games a guy posted a little ways up there's almost nothing that excites or interests me.

2014: The Year of Making Progress on My Backlog

Sucks, but it doesn't bother me as much as long as Dragon Age holds firm... unless it's being rushed and clearly needs the extra time in which case take it but OH GOD PLEASE BE GOOD

Congratulations. Know what that list looks like to me? Dragon Age: Inquisition, Shadows of Mordor, Assassin's Creed: Unity (maybe), Lords of the Fallen (maaaybe), X (if it comes out), Smash (again if it comes out). Admittedly, six games is a lot to me, but it's not the "Holy crap 2014 is the greatest year ever" that it's being made out to be.

2014 is now the year of "Yeah, I guess I'll try this, why not" instead of the year of "MAN I AM SO EXCITED TO PLAY THIS"

So much truth it hurts.

before this WB put Shadow of Mordor and Arkham Knight back to back which sounded a bit crazy since it looked like they will hurt themselves but I guess they knew that they'll delay it.

If that's the case then we're looking at a delay into next quarter, so sometime between January and March. That quarter is going to drown in releases for me, lol.

Well then the only Fall title after Destiny that I am looking forward to is Shadow of Mordor, Smash and maybe DC now

please don't delay them too

I'd like to see one more of those October games delayed to give The Evil Within more breathing room.

Doesn't look to shabby (and there are probably still some missing)

Never thought I'd say this, but thank God for the Wii U. Between X, Bayonetta 2, and Smash Bros, it looks more and more like that's the main thing I'm playing this year. Not to mention Tropical Freeze and my current addiction Mario Kart 8.
Those are 2014 confirmed? Besides, Smash Bros is "Winter", which means December, which means you'll be playing it, mostly, during 2015.

Perfection :(

I'll have plenty to play but was really looking forward to this.

No one has ever said its a great year, plenty of people are claiming there is nothing coming out, which is a ridiculous thing to say.

I'm actually kinda happy about this, will be easier on my bank account :)

Still planning to get TLoU:R, Destiny, Dragon Age, and Evolve. With Canadian prices + tax that's over $300 i'm gonna spend on games. And that doesn't take into account indies I will be buying.

Have you stopped to consider that, for them, maybe so much has been delayed that there isn't anything coming out?

Sucks cuz i was actually giving Rocksteady praise about how they handled their marketing by teasing a game that was set to come out later in the year and then this happens.

These delays are becoming too common. Add that to these teaser trailers with games that aren't set to come out for atleast another year it's just aggravating
