Nah, edge hogging was changed, but that's only a part of edge guarding. Edge guarding is anything you do to keep the opponent off stage, be it jumping off to finish them, or sniping them with projectiles as they try to recover.
So it's just different this time.

Radiant Dawn - The Devoted - I always associate this more with Ike than the theme they used in Brawl
Radiant Dawn - Battle of Pride - Best percussion track in the series, perfect for a Colosseum battle
Awakening - Mastermind - Bad ass song filled with dread.
Awakening - Monstrosity - Perfect for an action filled game like brawl. I love the organ!
Awakening - Old Battlefield - The finest song in the game. Represents both of the intensity and elegance of FE
And the most obvious choice: Sacred Stones - In The Colesseum - Duh.
The stage looks so cool, but I'm so so so disappointed if it is a walk-off. FD for that stage if so, but I'd love to see what kind of platforms it has.

Nightmares of colosseum grinding return! I think I got like 3 people to level 18+ after the first one. Game was a cakewalk after that (i'm bad at fire emblem!
). I had to reset if anyone died though, so this took HOURS.With the news that FFXV won't be at E3, I've realized that this is really going to be a Nintendo focused show for me, by a pretty wide margin.

I saw this on a christmas. I was excited for this game, seeing Mario fight against Pikachu, Yoshi and Donkey Kong was just too much for my little heart. :')

I hope this never happens. I don't like the idea of one version being gimped because some people can't deal with the idea of the 3DS version having exclusive content.
If there is a 3DS stage pack for the Wii U, there should be a Wii U stage pack for the 3DS.
I don't want it to happen either. The hardware between the two is so different that this isn't a simple matter of 'porting' the stages over. They almost have to be redone entirely, save for some AI stuff. Literally every asset will have to be redone. Not going to happen.
Question is, which dragon most looks like the statue in the picture?
Edit: Closest match is Jahn / generic War Dragon IMO.
Yeah, looks pretty generic. Kind of small for any of the major villian dragons. Doesn't look like a wyvern either.
Also, call it a hunch, but I suddenly felt like we'll get Lucina for smash. I hadn't felt like this before, but something clicked. They gave Marth his manlier looking Shadow Dragon/Mystery of the Emblem look, and I think Lucina is probably way more popular than Chrom is. We'll just have to see, though!

A War Dragon would make a pretty cool stage hazard/boss.

I'm all set for Microsoft failing as power usual. Only thing that pisses me off is that I'm stuck with those clowns for my Birthday. Siiiiigh. As much as I want more Conker and Banjo-Kazooie I'd rather the series stay dead until reliable developers can be trusted enough to create the games.
It's not smash bros fault that they decided to make the latest lord(s) have blue hair and be pretty and use a sword. Blame Fire Emblem.

Unless the mario kart team is as insightful as the pokemon company, there's no way they knew the luigi death stare would take off and therefore inform sakurai in a timely manner that it would be big.

Oh I don't care about the fact they're all sword-using blue-haired Lords, more Fire Emblem representation in Smash is a-ok with me - especially considering Smash is the reason we even got the Fire Emblem series in the West to begin with.

Marth, Sigurd, Seliph, Leif, Roy, Eliwood/Lyn/Hector, Eirika/Ephraim, Ike, Micaiah, Chrom/Lucina. Of those, Roy, Eliwood, Leif and Micaiah don't have blue hair, the rest do. Of course, it's hardly fair because Marth is in 4 games (of which 2 are remakes admittedly). Also there's more not mentioned that are in that picture (Alm and Celica for example).

God, sacred stones had possibly my favorite spritework ever. It's the only reason I beat it, since I used to hate fire emblem. God bless the ambassador program. The ambassador program is literally the only reason I bought Fire Emblem awakening. Sacred stones opened my eyes to the greatness of the series.

They're all loosely connected to one another and there's a few that are direct sequels, but for the most part their stories are independent and you can jump in wherever. Awakening's a good one since it's pretty easy.
Awakening's a good place to jump in, which is why it's very appealing and the best selling game in the series.
Otherwise, start with Fire Emblem 7 (it's on the JP Virtual Console for Wii U, only a matter of time before it's released in the West).

Yeah, already have them pre-ordered. For some reason I don't really want to see more of those games. I just want to play them. Time would almost feel wasted on the Nintendo Digital Event thing if they showed another X or Bayo 2 trailer.
