I honestly just don't think that many people are aware it's a slur, it's a pretty recent awareness. Just the big rise in trans slurs lately have been kinda bumming me out but whatever, I'm just gonna push buttons and do what I do. If Art or some other streamer sees this, just be aware cause it is pretty shitty.
I don't want to take this conversation any further though, a bit uncomfortable and stuff ^^;

Last input, but pretty much all of this is true from personal experience. I just ask nicely, "Hi, please don't say that." "Oh, I didn't know, of course," is usually the response. Not mad just kinda blegh.

If we get Project Beast and The Last Guardian, I don't know what else Sony even needs. Then again, I don't buy Sony for their first party exclusives. I buy it for the third party Japanese exclusives. As long as I see Palutena in Smash Bros. this week, it will be a great week. Everything else is gravy. Knowledge of trans issues isn't anywhere near the level that it is for issues of race, sexual orientation, etc. Even in a place like NYC. So you can't really assume much about their general life experiences regarding that stuff.

Beast looks like another Souls game, I haven't finished the first and am hearing stuff I don't like about DSII. Should I have confidence because it's pretty? I know GAF thinks the Souls games are like the be all end all of gaming but I'm still shocked at how big the reaction has been to what little we've seen.
TLG was always about as exciting as Duke Nukem Forever. We don't know jack shit about the game aside from a trailer or two that look ugly in retrospect. As a disclaimer, I had both ICO and SotC spoiled for me, and thus really lost any motivation to play them.

I have confidence in Project Beast the Souls games (all 1.5 of them I have played so far) are fantastic. I am glad to see more of that, and a new setting seems interesting.
As someone who fell upon Ico and SotC randomly, I enjoyed both of them. Ico more than SotC, and I am probably the minority there. I don't need to know more about the game other than that it's being made by the same team. It's like a Platinum Games title - I don't really need to see what's up to know it will be worth my time (unless it's the MadWorld team...).
It kind of sounds like you spend too much time reading about games, and then you don't actually get to enjoy them for yourself.

When I went to HS, we covered all sorts of stuff about developmental abnormalities (intersex-type stuff) but noooope they couldn't touch masturbation, gay or transgender issues because of *insert dumb religious bloc here*. Internet's definitely changing awareness as people grow up with it, but ts not something you can assume people have any real knowledge of, and its definitely harder to wrap your head around than orientation. I was pretty meh on ICO, but loved SoTC. Even if you know the entire plot the game is worth it for those magnificent boss fights.

It's like saying "oh man I already know what's gonna happen at the end of GoW/DMC... might as well not play those games anymore!" These aren't movies and even then I wouldn't skip out on a good movie just because someone spoiled me on an ending.
