This is the child soldier who has appeared in multiple trailers of The Phantom Pain! (He was also tested by Kaz early on in the trailer -- being hit with Kaz's cane to prompt a response from the boy.)

Don't mention it! I'm glad you posted those photos, because it makes me wonder how Big Boss raises these child soldiers. I remember very early on in Project Ogre's development, Kojima giving an interview stating that this game would be a lot about "family." Diamond Dogs being the close-knit army that it is, I am curious to see what life at Mother Base is like from a day-to-day basis!

What I never understood is... if there's a 60fps version of the trailer offscreen, then there's obviously a direct feed version of the trailer in 60fps. Seeing as this is one of the selling points for the next-gen version of the game, why doesn't Konami put that online for us? Last year's trailer as well... we had the 60fps Microsoft one but we never got the full Red Band trailer in 60fps, so there was no best version. I mean it obviously existed, but they never put it online for us. I hope they do with this one.
Because people wouls dissesect that trailer to the smallest wrong reflection, smear jaggy and in matter of 50 posts it would become flaming trashfest of MSAA vs FXAA vs QSAA vs "horrid", "last gen", "15$", "shit".
With youtube videos everything is nicely compressed, none can be sure about anything and discussion remains in enclosed environment.
Of course, I would love proper 60fps to watch it normally on the TV

I have no idea whats happening in half that trailer, or the previous ones. Why does snake have shrapnel sticking out of his head? When did he lose his arm (did he have a prosthetic arm in MGS4?), who's ashes is he weirdly rubbing all over his face?
I've tried looking up MGS lore but it very quickly gets incredibly complicated.

Like it is with even the most convoluted game series, you'd probably understand it on a character level just fine. You just won't understand all the implications without having played though MGS3, PW, and maybe MGS4.

MGS 1, 2, 4 are about Solid Snake.
MGS 3, PeaceWalker, 5, are about Big Boss (Naked Snake).
MGS 5 is about Naked Snake going evil.
The original MG games (2D ones) were about Solid Snake taking Naked Snake down ( I have never played them). MGS 5 leads up to these events.
The arm, shrapnel, and other inexplicable things are being introduced with this new metal gear (MGS 5).

Naked Snake itself might seem worse but I think it still sounds better because a) it's not a word that normally pairs with snake and b) it's an adjective unlike Venom. Venom Snake sounds like a mistake or something (._. )

Oh okay thanks. Well we keep hearing that the 30 minute demo is behind closed doors and wont be shown to the public for awhile, if at all, yet if you read Kojima's tweets from the last couple days it reeeeally seems like he is gonna show us during E3.
