To people who think this looks stupid... NOTHING is more stupid than wearing a full business suit during the scorching heat of the summer.

wearing a business suit with pants that are cut off at the knees in the scorching heat, id argue, is even more stupid...unless you are on certain caribean islands where i think they actually do this.

this is even worse than the whole 'skinny jeans' thing...and the whole "I want to be 120lbs with abs" mind set young dudes have.

WTF?

This wouldn't even fly in Silicon Valley and the dress code there is pretty darn loose.

Can't imagine this anywhere in America.

Caribbean, sure. America? NOPE.

Like someone said, if you need shorts, rock a vest with a button shirt.

Long sleeves with short... shorts just doesn't mesh together.

I could see short sleeves with short shorts, but I feel that still wouldn't look as good as longxlong.

bros, this minitrend has been around for a good bit of time. your suits are safe.

are you sure you want this

He looks miserable.

Thom Browne and to a lesser extent Raf Simons been pushing this since 2004-ish. "It must be fashion icon Pharell Williams' influence!" :lol

I blame the feminization of men in America for this. Between this and the rising poplarity of bowties men are starting to become more feminine. This trend is more of a lesbian thing right? I've seen this look on lesbians with the bowtie thing too. It's like a little boy/lesbian thing,

I am willing to concede on a lot of things. I am okay with long hair on guys. In the last decade I've grown my hair out below shoulder length 3 separate times. I'm willing to even concede on black nail polish although personally I've never painted my nails. Maybe even make up too. But this trend is a huge no. Only lesbians should even attempt this look. A business suit on a man should look a certain way. If you want to do it and look like a fool go ahead. But I will never wear something like that ever. Unless I'm in a casket and my family hates me.

What's wrong with men being feminine?

Your post made me laugh a lot btw, thank you.

Is this a serious reply?

but jacket pockets >>> pants pockets

Never put anything in a business jacket pocket. It just distorts your jacket and they are rarely any good anyway. If you need to carry things in a business setting use a bag.

There is long socks sample in the link but he is wearing a skirt too.

Now skirts for men I could get behind. But this business shorts rubbish has got to go if they expect you to wear a jacket with it.

well i'm talking jacket-jacket like a harrington and so on. plus I put my phone and wallet in my inside suit pockets without issue.

But that's just a jacket, not a business suit. You could add that to shorts or slacks or cargo pants if you wanted. And yeah, they are great jackets, but in no way part of a suit.
