Still no specific numbers though.

Game Informer said:
In a conversation with EA chief operating officer Peter Moore, we learned some new details about Titanfall's performance. Unfortunately, the number of copies sold wasn't one of them.

Titanfall has been incredibly strong on Xbox One according to Moore. "Sales are always going to be inhibited and governed by the install base, but [Titanfall] is attaching incredibly well," he says. "Titanfall is the best selling title on Xbox One lifetime to date."

I wish it was a more interesting game, seems like a good staple for the One. I played it on PC though, wasn't my thing.

Makes sense.

Though the Xbone is basically seen as the 'HALO box' I really can't see the HALO 1-4 collection, or anything else this year, taking Titanfall's sales age crown just yet.

While the likes of Advanced Warfare will be a huge seller I think Titanfall just came to the market at the right time with the right amount of buzz and hype.

Probably waiting for an overall respectable figure.

Perhaps 5m? Might take a while to get there tho ...

I guess that's a potential reason. Seems silly though, why not mark certain milestones like 1m/2m sold, etc.

Makes even less sense with this being a new IP not to announce milestones.

The only place where you can play Titanfall, COD, and Kinect Sports Rivals. You can't say that about any other platform. That's why this game, like the Xbox All in One Entertainment System before it, is literally flying off the shelves and into the hearts and minds of gamers.

I have to disagree with people saying "not surprising." Titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield sold very well relative to everything else on current-gen platforms. If Titanfall did outsell both those franchises in a fraction of the time, I'm impressed.

5 million what? Combined (both Xboxes)?

There is a 0% chance the game sold 5 million on just the Xbox One.

Everything, 360, XB1 and PC. I agree, I doubt it can reach 5 mill lifetime, maybe 4m (as launch titles can do well, I'm pointing at you Resistance: Fall of Man)

I think the key difference is that Titanfall was positioned as a game that should appeal to both the CoD and BF camps while also selling fine to the people who are sick of CoD/BF.

No baggage, great marketing, platform starved for exclusives. Call it a perfect storm. :)

I beg to differ. I bet the Master Chief Collection will sell like hotcakes.

I think the not surprising sentiment is from the game being a pack-in that doesn't cost extra if you buy the kinect version of the console.

"Best selling title" resonates more with EA investors than "Sold 2 million units," or whatever the worldwide number is.

Good point, but wouldn't the investors still want numbers? I can't believe investors would be happy with that claim and not want some figures to make sense of it.
