Just played my first crucible match. Sooooo good. I haven't been hooked on mp for ages. This may do it. Exchanged 3 punches for deaths with a guy, and Titan LB+RB'd some dude in a ghost type vehicle after launching out of my speeder and killed him. So good.
 
Oh, forgot 1 thing. More visual cues on loot please. I'm not sure how much I missed, but having to scour the battlefield after a fight is lame.

Where is this? Because this is where I saw the huge Hive vs. Fallen battle, only it was at night which made it even more scary and intense. I've forgotten how I got there.

Most likely because people are out exploring/doing missions, doing PvP on crucible, or because there are different servers and you happen to be on a barren one.

I'm terrible with area names but they spawned where a lot of rusted out ships are. I went back the next day and they didn't show up so it must be random.

Boatyard? Actually come to think of it I got the message about them when I was leaving that area...Thanks for the vid though!!

I presumably missed 2 weapon loots, but they were back at the Postmaster in the Tower as Lost Items, so no big deal. But I agree, they should be a little more obvious out in the field.

You have to go to port then you see a small but tall building above the shore and right after that you need to head to the right, there's gonna be a small rocky passage and you have to speed up as there are gonna be two ?? marked enemies in it (probably lvl 20). And right after that you'll see alien ship wrekage.
 
I've run the strike mission a bunch of times but today was the first time that a world event occurred at its starting location. Was a big yellow named mob that kept kiting the entire group of us attempting to kill him. We didnt get him down before the 4 mins were up unfortunately.

Shotgun, shotgun (optional 2nd shot), knife is always satisfying.

There's a bug with matchmaking that is not putting people together. Somebody from Bungie posted about it here earlier. Its the reason why sometimes the Tower is empty.
 
I keep getting kicked out of my Fireteam after every round for some reason. It's not my team leader since he keeps inviting me after every round because of it.

Who said that? I doubt it...

Considering we only know of 5 locations. Earth, Mars, Venus, The Moon and The Reef

I'd say it's a lot more than 3%.
 
Anyone else a bit concerned about the single player? Rather than getting a full on Halo campaign, I almost feel like we'll get Spartan Ops from Halo 4.

Like that first mission when the Hive showed up. This is supposed to be a big moment since they haven't been on earth in hundreds of years, right? But they kinda just show up.

In my mind I keep comparing it to when we first see the Flood and how creepy and cool that was.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I keep getting the vibe that the campaign will feel like an afterthought.

Multiple locations per planet. The content we have access to currently is at least a bit under 10%, unless we've been BS'ed this whole time.

I don't know, I feel this is more MMO than single player style game. Not in the traditional sense in that I haven't read anything about guild like structures, but more loose in and out fireteams.

I noticed this as well. I hope it is a bug, it really discourages experimentation.

There's 2 playable missions in this alpha.

There only has to be 14 missions total on Earth in the full game + 14 missions on each of the other planets for this alpha to be ~3%.

I could easily see that.

No idea about the percentage, but there's not a whole lot here, so I wouldnt be surprised to see it's less than 5 percent of the full thing. The full game will be a success to me if there's a ton of weapons at max level and at least 20 different strike missions.

I also can't wait for the beta. Looking forward to playing this with the XB1 controller.
 
Well my time with it is at an end. I've had a blast these past 4 days. I can delete the files right? No reason for me to hold onto them is there?

Same. Sometimes the loot item is just silverish and easy to miss against some of the dirt and such on the ground.

Silver primary ammo needs to change a bit too. Purple / Green is fine, but finding the silver on the ground can be straining.

not really, but i am in love with this game and i just can't get myself to delete the files...

Probably a good idea to backup the save file (if there's any, I haven't looked yet), just in case they decide to give you something in the full game if you have an alpha save.

Its been like this all of Friday and Saturday. Hoping on now, but I expect the same. It was ok on Thursday though for some reason.

Ok, cool. As long as they realize it. Exploring Russia alone is kinda boring.
