If knockout stage ends up being only south and North American teams. I will be unsuncscribing to this thread and will not watch sports tv of any kind till July 14th.

Gotta admit I'm a complete layman when it comes to football, but the game was damn fun to watch. The Ghana players were crazy dangerous and pushed the Germans hard. Mad respects. Germans fumbling until Schweini and Klose showed up since that counter goal completely pulled the rug out from under them.

Hope Müller is OK. That looked painful. I'm sure the other guy felt that impact as well.

Also, Löw digging for oil is a thing. Oh ew.

I don't know if the US defenders can perform against Germany, like how Ghana did in the box... some of their defenders did an amazing job of just barely deflecting the ball and saving potential goals. All from tough angles.

excited to see these next few games.

also, Univision showed that streaker guy, and it was Muntari who escorted him off the pitch... and ONE security guy was waiting on the sideline and walked him off.

if this was in the US in other sports (Baseball, American Football, Fake Wrestling) the players are allowed to kick your ass and they usually do.. and if the players don't get you first, security get to practice their moves finally and usually get rough.

My reaction to this game.

Any word on USA vs Portugal on ABC tomorrow evening? Is ABC really refusing to show on English network tv potentially the only WC game USA will play on a weekend in the entire tournament? And at a super comfortable 6pm EST time slot to boot!

The hate the US team, soccer, and freedom.

Interlude - Manchester City and AC Milan are playing in Pittsburgh this July during their US tour. Thinking of going but I know nothing about AC Milan other than Balotelli - fill me in Serie A/Italy peeps.

My first team. Great team, unfortunately owned by a racist fuckhead.

omg salt jokes again. pls stop. they're not funny.

I think a lot of the European teams have failed to show their flair in the heat. Germany struggled a lot more on the break than normal and that's because they were playing in 32 degree heat. There's so much less in the tank then.
