totally not WC-related and not sure from when this is (4 years ago or something?), but it made me giggle.

In 2010 the illegal action he performed was sanctioned while in the game. So i don't see how it's a comparable situation.

He is not saying it's the same. Instead, he is pointing out how that time pretty much everyone in Uruguay was cheering for him and calling him a hero for what he did.

Hell, I'm from Chile and even here a lot of people was saying it was the right thing to do. REALLY? That's the value that you want to teach our children? That you can do whatever you want on the field to winning, because that's the only thing that matters?

Salsa, bud, if someone does something unsportsmanlike and it isn't dealt with it's bad for the entire sport. I understand what you're trying to say that there should be a better system in place so that it's dealt with on the field, but that doesn't excuse the reality of what actually happens.

The reason people keep pining on you is the way you're arguing this comes across as not thinking biting someone is a bannable offense in the sport.
do I think Suarez was a needless asshole? absolutely. Do I think he should have gotten a red card (as with any other non-called play)? totes.
When you say stuff like this it really doesn't make sense why you don't come out and say a ban is worthy for what he's done. "It's their decision" of course, but anyone looking at it can tell he's a twat that should be punished.

Given he's done it several times now, it really is boggling.

it's all good. it's a game and im not suarez. I think it's a worthy discussion to have is all and it's something im invested in.
He will definitely be sanctioned for that; I mean, third time???

Obviously there are two sides of the story, and I think if we watched the match carefully, we should see that italian player speaking a lot with Suarez, probably insulting him and making small fouls. I haven't seen that, but everyone knows that Suarez has an attitude problem, so players know that they have to pester him through the game to get those reactions.

In the qualifications, in the match between Chile and Uruguay, Jara grabbed Suarez by the balls, and he hit him in return, which resulted in a red card. Unfair? sure, but every player in the world knows that you have to pester Suarez and he will do stuff like this.

I don't know why Ronaldo is compared to Pepe and Suarez. Is he annoying? Yes but he doesn't straight up assault or bite players repeatedly.
