I haven't really got much faith in Switzerland, but I'm pretty confident they'll be able to score with the way you've been defending. I still think you'll win though. We'll see.

Song, who barely did shit all season, somehow in his head thought puyol was going to give him the trophy to lift. Meanwhile there's a player recovering from cancer next to him.

What made him think puyol was going to him and not abidal, I will never understand lol.

You try playing in 104 F and 70% humidity without 'looking' weak.

It is funny that the one person who says Holland is weak supports Argentina and refuses to acknowledge that they played terrible matches against Bosnia and Iran. I do not see Argentina coming back from a 0-1 or 1-2.

I won't mention the 78 WC because it was obviously rigged by the dictatorial regime at the time.

That being said, i really hope we win. Time to buy the stuff to make a picada with friends.

Both teams (Iran/Bosnia) played extremely defensive, and yes Argentina played like shit, I never said otherwise like you claim, now we are playing better and I don't think Switzerland will park the bus, but like I said before: we'll see in a couple of hours. BTW both teams play with the same temperature and humidity unless I'm missing something.

Was it in 78 that we had the whole problem with Argentina destroying Peru to advance ahead of Brazil? I always get this story confused.
 
Every team has their weaknesses guys

Oranje has a shit midfield
Argentina depends on Messi, A LOT
Brazil's team isn't really balanced
Yogi uses a shit strategy which makes Germany play even worse
France isn't quite sure either

The defensive line of all the teams are... passable

Your ending sentence is correct with the exception that Mexico is a team full of players who are used to the humidity and higher temperature whereas we have players from England, Holland and Germany.

The difference in climate can kill a person's fatigue especially if the previous matches were all around 15-20 celsius.

It is better for this World Cup for Argentina to progress further but it is going to be tough for you guys.

Every single top tier country has been dissapointing me so far. France, Costa Rica and The Netherlands were nowhere near that list from the start, and while I am from Holland and it might sound biased, they are the only one's who actually surprise and win by sheer resilience.

It's a very balanced world cup so far. Anything can happen in every match. We've seen almost no blowouts.

I expect Holland to win against CRC, but CRC winning wouldn't surprise me anymore... this WC is cray, man.

Daley Blind and Wijnaldum are the most probable in the midfield with Kuyt being leftback again.

I don't know man. There is this vibe going on with van Gaal as coach. We have 4 players where they believe that this will probably be their last chance and they are the most fear inducing quartet of the entire world cup; Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder and (surprisingly) Kuyt.

You forget Colombia is mostly Hamez Rodriguez. But other than that I agree with you.
 
Come on USA, you can do it. Let's get two CONCACAF teams in the final 8. I'll be having a big mac today at lunch in your honor. And I really hope Messi trips and falls today.
