Plenty of lords have had an extra weapon type after promotion. Pretty sure Ike got axes in radiant dawn even
 
I've got a question for you guys. For each game, what would be you top 5 most DESERVING characters that didn't make it into the game? (For Smash Bros. 4, only choose either newcomers that haven't been announced yet and or veterans you think may get cut). No third parties.

Chrom's a weird one because I feel like, in terms of design, he's the combination of Ike's ruggedness and Marth's refined nobility.
 
I really do need to play more FE games though....used to own the GBA one with Lyn and Godly Eliwood. But lost the cartridge I think. D:

I at least got to beat Sacred Stones on 3DS ambassador....but I can see why its the easiet one. :P Still loved it though.

Woah, Radiant Dawn is over $100 now? I bought it for $50 new at Nintendo World last summer, thought the price would be somewhere below that.

Uh....

Anyway, my favorite games in the series are Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn (Avatar Quote). They're pretty damn expensive now, though (over 100 bucks).

Awakening is a good game though. Different, but still enjoyable. It's closer to SS than the other GBA FE.

Also, while you have all proposed great ideas (Id~Purpose is actually already confirmed for Arena Ferox in the 3DS version), it's important to include Old Battlefield.
 
Dunno if any of you guys and gals would be interested, but I made a video guide on swapping shells for Gamecube controllers to make two-tone mixed shell controllers. Got my slick purple and white controllers ready for Smash 4 :)

Now if I could just run across a spice orange to make a white/orange combo...

I couldn't give a list for every game, so I'll limit myself to just a few observations:

King K. Rool deserved to be in Smash 64 and became progressively less deserving of a slot with each game. At the time of 64, he was still a recent and very relevant villain. Wario, conversely, did not deserve to be in 64. There were only two or three Wario Land games at that time, and WarioWare didn't even exist yet. Most of his roles at that time were in Mario spinoffs. The same is applies for Melee. Brawl was the perfect time for him.

As for Smash 4, I'm pretty content with the roster, so it's hard to say. I have no great love for Ridley, but I agree he's deserving of a slot. Lucas, assuming he's cut, deserves to be in. Even though it doesn't have any new games, Earthbound has only become more popular since Smash. It doesn't make sense to halve the series' representation.

Aw man, that looks great! I've always wanted to try making my own custom controller, but I'm always afraid I'll fuck it up.

By the way, I have an orange gamecube controller that's useless to me now. If you live anywhere near LA, I'd be happy to help you out. It's been through a bit in its day, but it may be something you'd be able to spruce up.

I'd argue that Wario deserved to get in just as much as Yoshi did, though he was slighly less popular.
 
Btw, there are like three versions of the Punch-Out theme in Smash, so I think there could be multiple versions of Pac-Man Park.

What? Wario was really huge back then. It was Nintendo's Wolwerine! He was everywhere! Wario meant GameBoy at the time, that's the only reason why WarioWere was a Wario-thing.
Just think about it: Wolwerine had clones and female-Wolvie and stuff; Wario had Waluigi. Living in Europe I had no idea who Fox or Cap.Falcon or Ness were. But Wario...everybody and their dog knew Wario.

I hope to god Marth is better by release compared to how Ken said he was at E3. I switched to maining Marth in melee from maining Kirby (>_>) a couple of months ago and he's just so fun to use. I don't think I could bring myself to use another character.

I'll just wait until the casual witchhunt on the sub is over before I return to the sub, right now they aren't an ounce better than those Kotaku commenters. What a joke.

You're assuming I'm a casual here. The "real men use items" 'meme' is pretty tongue-in-cheek. I'm just saying that the top minority clamoring for separatist exclusivity and dominance in contrast to the vocal minority WITHIN the majority clamoring for inclusive traits speaks volumes. Let's say that the "real men use items" crowd was serious? That just creates another branch of elitism with a different ruleset, i.e. they're not 'true casuals' because they've formed a concrete opinion. It just so happens that in this specific scenario (smash bros) that the top players have a ruleset that opposes the forementioned ruleset andthose pushing the opinion have forfeited their status as a 'casual participant' as a result.

Goddamnit, I've typed more in this post that in my daily reports for work.
 
What confirmed Pokemon enemies are in Smash Run? I know only Chandelure, and apparently Gastly, Koffing, Cryogonal and Petilil, but I haven't seen vids of them.
