Destiny: Ghost Edition revealed [Collector's]

Gone in less than 8 hours. :o

I'm actually really surprised...glad I jumped on the pre-order when I did. Seems like the Alpha changed A LOT of minds.

Sony has a terribly strict no refunds policy on preorders. If they decide to review your case it takes 9-10 business days for them to make a decision on if they will give you one or not.

*I'm a fool and will own it on both consoles -.-
 
So where can I pre-order the Digital LE/Deluxe (what ever they are calling it)? This is one game (after playing the Alpha) I really want digital :D

Sony Store has it up already. Go to Destiny, then pre-order, and then to Bundles. :P

I imagine Xbox Live has it up to since MS is usually on the ball with those things, but I don't feel like turning on the 360.
 
About the Ghost edition being £150 here... it seems its more of a UK problem... I'm noticing games are being sold in a lot of places for £50+, very close to the $60 figure in US. Some even reach it. I know Fifa 15 is going for £60 in some places.

Honestly don't know what to blame. Is it the "Next gen tax", (Which is a really stupid thing to do, you don't want to push people away from getting a new console do you?), or its just the UK market pushing how far they can push the prices until people say no. Can't believe people paid £55 for Watch_Dogs on ShopTo, but it seems enough people did to make it no. 1. Insane.

Might have got the Ghost edition if it was £90, though its looking like just the limited edition will be that much here... urgh. Getting increasingly fed up with next gen game prices here. Theres an increasingly greater possibility I'll import from else where in the EU.

Feel like I say this in every thread but I don't want uk gaf getting ripped.

Buy you're games from us psn they work out at £35 pounds.

Thanks for looking out for us UKGAF, ha ha. Personally, I havent paid over £40 for a standard PS4 game yet.... Apart from Knack on launch day.

Getting from US PSN is becoming an increasingly more appealing option. That or importing from elsewhere in the EU if the price is still significantly lower overall.

Digital LE for me. Great deal since it comes with the expansions. Really smart move since I was going to get the physical version before this now it's going to be tied to my ps4.
 
Wow, it all looks great. I love the design of the books and art so much... the antique star chart and field guild is exactly the sort of thing I like in a CE. Shit, I may end up getting the Ghost edition, that Ghost is great but the extra 'golden age relics' are the icing on the cake.

Now I just need for somewhere in Canada to offer it up lol.

The next gen price variation in the UK is so messed up. There would be so much internet furor if PS3/360 version of games cost $60 and PS4/XB1 versions cost $70 in the US, yet in the UK people seem to be lying down and taking it.

£55 for a game is ridiculous. I've resorted to buying all of my PS4 purchases via US PSN, but for retail stuff like Collector's Editions I have no choice but to pay the ridiculous UK price. I normally just salvage the collectable stuff and re-sell the game on launch day though, and then just buy the digital version on US PSN.
 
Dammit, I didn't want to order the CE since I was waiting for Bestbuy for the GC discount...sigh, should have ordered for the worst case scenario =/.
Oh well, might as well get the LE.
 
Ghost edition is AUD $199.95 from EB Games. Called my store and they only being offered to select customers(guessing VIP level 4). My store can only sell 3 XB1 and 3 PS4 copies and it will be discontinued in 7 days. Just upgraded my pre-order to the Ghost edition but might downgrade to the LE(only AUD $129.95, so $70 for the Ghost replica).

I've found you can't rely on Best Buy to get these things in always, so I go with Amazon and then cancel the order if BB comes through.
 
FML.

Gamestop wants $30.00 up front for pre-order when I went tonight. I have it, but I don't want to give up that much as pay day is a few days away and I may want to use that dough for something else.

Amazon was my only saving grace as I've not done Gamestop online ever for pre-orders and there is no pick up at store option for Destiny Ghost for Gamestop pre orders wtf!?

I'd have to pay an extra 14 bucks to do 1 day ship with Gstop. Amazon it's built in isn't it?

Ugh. Bestbuy doesn't have it up either.

It'd be nice if Bungie /Acti could share the content pipeline for Destiny and where the expansion pass lies there, even though they won't .

Eg. If Comet is going to be a full retail price release next year,I'd be less inclined to drop money on the expansion pass.
 
Wow, PS4 Ghost already sold out? I preordered a copy as a placeholder more than anything, but maybe I'll keep it if it's really that limited. I was expecting another cat helmet situation, with extra copies being on shelves for years.

I'm curious how they operate. Do they allow for this to happen:

I Pre-order online. (Nothing is billed until shipped, and no down payment, or is it just $5.00 even for a $150.00 product?)

They have release day shipping so it shows up on the 9th of September without absurd costs like Gamestop ?

I preorder at their website but always do in-store pickup since most major games have midnight releases. If I can't pickup at midnight release I pick it up the next day on release day.

As for billing: I pre-ordered the Last Of Us PS4 and there is a pending charge for my purchase for the entire amount.

There is free shipping but if you want it shipped faster it will cost you a lot more so this is choose in-store pickup.
 
I might just get the digital version. Destiny is always online because of the MMO nature, correct? No point in owning the disc if I won't be able to play offline anyway.
 
Went ahead and pre-ordered one (PS4) from Gamestop's website about 5 hours ago. Just checked there again and they are sold out for both the PS4 and X1. Hope the order goes through.
