Looks like this limited Ghost Edition is in fact limited!
no way you would get a real limited edition for $30 !
Most of the time when they say it's truly limited, it ends up being anything but. The only consistent limited LE are the ones from niche Publishers bringing over Japanese games like Aksys, NIS, Atlus, and XSEED.
I wouldnt expect the LE of one of the highest budgeted, mainstreamiest games ever created to actually be limited when its all said and done. This is only them testing the waters to see demand. There will undoubtedly be a replenishment.

Don't forget it's also the first entry to a new IP. BIoshock 1 LE, Mass Effect 1, Little Big Planet 2 CE was limited, even Borderlands 2's LE were actually limited. TLoU was a big budgeted game from ND and it's statued edition, that a lot of people said was way overpriced, ended up being very limited and goes for well over $300.
So, there are games out there from US devs that are truly limited in every since of the word. I feel that the Ghost edition is going to follow those footsteps. It's a big budget new title from Bungie that still needs to prove itself to the masses. Flooding the market with Ghost Editions wouldn't be wise.

Only activision does it too, it's so annoying. Had all manner of hell when I had my US account in Europe, at least on xbox one you can make your store US//CAN so it's a lot easier than it was in the past.

No they don't I ordered the Ghost Edition last night, they take the payment a couple of days before release.
But one word of warning they send you the beta code immediately and class it as a "digital order" bundled in with the game which means you can't cancel by yourself through the website, I have no idea if you contact their customer services if they will cancel it for you or not.
Really, when I tried to pre order my white PS4 it failed.
Hmmm, time to contact game support.
Think they do if you use paypal (haven't checked if it's come out yet) but with card don't think so from what the website was saying.

Booked it, Then regretted it and realized how stupid it is to pay a fortune for a gane, 260$ is the cost of it here in Sweden.

Well the expansion pass is 35$ itself, so don't think it'll drop that low.

Yeah that would be it, they take a pound from your account now, and then put it back after a few days then take the full payment 2-3 days before release.

That's what I ended up doing for MW2 when it was all region locked and messed up.
Although, apparently that was due to violence, so you might be okay with destiny.

While most collectors editions are generally filled with tat, that Ghost version looks very nice indeed (sucker for good design!)
However at £150 GAME are taking the piss.

Nice.... Yeah the real issue was it was a "Game" exclusive, which actually means.
"boy you want this, well you gotta take this price, they're aint NOTHING, you can do!"
Luckily I won the game £100 stock thing so going to be putting that toward it.
Game have really got a grip over the UK market again, I'm not sure if I'm okay with it.
$150 = £87.51 + tax probably makes it around £95 pounds
£150 = $256.46
I really dislike this arrogant stranglehold that game.co.uk has on the exclusives market.
This is even more irritating because game does not ship this stuff to the continent. They have a policy not to ship anything bigger than a jewel case outside UK.
Fuck game, I got burned by them before their faux-bancruptcy. The only thing they're good for nowadays are the emailed scratch card codes for PSN wallet.
The Limited Edition comes with everything apart from the ghost replica and the Golden Age Relics stuff (A patch, a sticker and 2 chrome slides of the traveler)

Neither Activision or Bungie have a good track record for limited edition/collectors sets though, if their previous games are anything to go by they do end up being sold off in bargain bins (at least for a short time) because they flood the market with them. It's a gamble no matter what you do if you're interested in the value of these sets.
The Halo reach limited edition yes I can agree with,
But the Halo 3 Legendary edition, boy that was hard to find, but I got it.
The COD "limited edition" games weren't actually stated to be limited. they were just hardened, you got DLC pass and some small bit Veteran, some crazy gadget.
But these weren't sold as being limited edition.

" they can do with exclusives, but I think the only reason they got the Ghost edition is because Game is pretty much the only game specific store left in the UK, so they're going after people both retail and online wise. Grainger Games is the other, but they seem to have a greater sense of pre-owned games there than Game. To me, since Game went bankrupt. Their "closing down sale" was shit, still a bunch of stuff I could get for better prices elsewhere easily, then after they miraculously got saved, they havent even changed, worse perhaps.
I used to want them to be around just so the UK has a game retail presence, but now I dont care. They aren't doing the UK a favour being there and they arent doing me a favour having exclusives bundles/dlc/etc. cause I'm never shopping with them. I'm fine with Grainger Games being that presence, at least its more geared towards the consumer.

Ouch, thats £175 to us. It is ridiculous. It seems only the US isnt getting screwed with these editions. I would like to think my hope for humanity will simply boycot these editions until the prices drop to something even remotely reasonable, but I think people will buy them regardless.

I have absolutely NO Grainger Games near me, it's a northern company. Living in London I have the choice of Game, HMV (LOL) or super markets, so as far as I'm concerned they are dominant in at least the south of England,
Sure there are other Online retaliers shop to - although I have found recently they've lost the plot and have quite quickly become the next play.com.

I have never used Grainger Games, how are they for delivery times? But other than that there is a very limited amounts of choice for me when ordering games online.
I will say this though, that I am mainly actually buying digital now, I have a US xbox and PSN account and I can buy my cards direct from amazon which are then emailed to me, The price and the fact I usually will get a Friday release on a Tuesday is great and the most beneficial to me, although when stuff like this comes up, I really do hate the fact that game snatches it as an exclusive and this will unfortunately keep them going for a long time to come .

Well I pre-ordered the Limited edition of Amazon while it was £87 and I pre-ordered the Ghost Editon from Game. Depending on how much money I'll have in September (I have a couple of birthdays then) will determine which one I'll get.

Problem is, I don't want Destiny (not that much of a problem), and I'll probably buy a PS4 or Xbox One next year but still not sure which one

Well not used Grainger games online. I've used them a few times physically for some pre-owned games, Uncharted 3 (new) and they were the best in trading in a bunch of stuff I had for an X1, so can't say for Grainger Games delivery onlinewise.
I mostly use ShopTo atm, since I'm a gold member, so get a little better prices and delivery is the best from them. They have become more pricy lately, and I fully expect them to put up the Destiny LE at £95 too, (which I will then proceed by bitching on a post of why they think $=£ and if they're joking, ha ha), but most of the time, I find they usually get to similar prices of other places closer to launch, if they don't, I go elsewhere.
Looking to give Gameseek and Gamestop a try. I nearly got my PS4 from Gameseek at launch, but ShopTo offered me the mega bundle, and I simply trusted them more than Gameseek who I never used. Gamestop I'm getting TLOU PS4 with due to their awesome trade in offer, so I guess we'll see how they are delivery wise. Nearly got MGS GZ with them in the past, but didn't in the end.
