New Super Smash Bros character to be revealed on Monday

Banjo-Kazooie are not going to be playable ever anyway so there's really no point in talking about characters missing.
It's like moaning about people missing at a birthday party when the guy who's turning 21 hasn't shown up yet.

I was upset too but then I realized Smash really draws upon the last console generation a lot with each release.

I see Wonder Red and the Inklings as new IP'S that can be added to the next Smash. How many other unrepresented IP'S can give characters to Smash now?

With Smash 4 Mii, Wii Fit, Animal Crossing and Punch-Out! have now been represented. Shulk is probably getting revealed Monday and with a possible Rhythm Heaven representative. The number of new IP's for characters is small.
 
Hoping on either Ness, Lucas or Captain Falcon. New character would be great too, I'll let Sakurai surprise me once again.
 
I want Ridley!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai revealed Virtual Boy as a new character, after all ROB was in Brawl and it was a NES accessory, not a game character. Just imagine it's final smash like Luigi's Negative Zone, but just red and black, it would be hilarious.

Do not worry guys, this last won't happen.

I misframed my point. My point is that there are major, iconic video game characters outside of Nintendo, those from iconic and beloved games in their own right, even those who are on similar levels to most of the characters in the Smash Bros. series, and you just brushed every single one of them aside as if they were inferior.

When you say that Smash has all the biggest video game icons that people care, you are speaking for no one but yourself.
 
Expecting a Shulk and Chrom reveal with all the sword users. They can't really disappoint me at this point. The roster is already excellent.

Ness and Captain Falcon are secret characters. They weren't revealed early for Brawl, and it would be dumb to cut them as they're unique characters that have been in from the beginning. Lucas is probably gone though. With the alternate specials, Ness has probably just taken his moves. No reason to have both.

I don't mean to butt in, but we're speaking in the context of Smash Bros. Shouldn't it have been obvious he was talking about Nintendo properties?
 
Shulk plus surprise Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer with release date for Spring 2015 and Xenoblade HD announcement for this fall. Believe.
 
I hope it's Shulk, I really do.

If it is, I sure hope we get some Gaur Plains or Unfinished Battle.

I dunno. If we exclude the more hardcore crowd of smash players more people seem to want current popular anime characters or iconic anime characters like Goku, Naruto and Luffy than anything other video game character that's ever been mentioned in this thread or the Smash Bros. thread.

I think the only video game character I have seen constantly and consistently demanded for is Lucina from the recent Fire Emblem.

Since this video will be by itself, I don't expect for it to be a Xenoblade character. I think they are more likely to reveal a Xenoblade character in a Nintendo Direct along side a new Xenoblade X trailer.

I think it needs to be a character from a series that is popular enough to be revealed by themselves.

Assuming the leak list is true, only Chrom, Shulk, and Chorus People are left. Of those Fire Emblem is the biggest of the franchises.
 
Did anyone else see that the xenoblade director retweeted the new character announcement. Saw it on Mynintendonews not sure if that site is allowed

Splatoon is way too new to be added to Smash. The game probably didn't exist in any form when the roster was being decided (late 2012 I think). Wonder Red though could have had a chance but I guess they wanted to wait until he's a bit more established.
 
Shulk would be awesome and all, but I would rather see Fiora.

Since its a live stream they more than likely will show more than just a trailer, i wouldnt be surprised if after showing shulk, they have a surprise announcement for a xenosaga HD collection or something, or like 10 mins of sakurai straight up trolling us until the reveal.

From the sound of it, it's only a trailer. It's only three minutes long.
