Supers should have indicators.

There it is

So are there any energy based weapons in the game?

Like a laser-rifle or phaser?

The only weapons i saw in the alpha were variants of ordinary weapons such as pistols and assault rifle.

There was one threeburst plasma but the effect was kind of boring and a step down from the covenant plasma guns...

I want more "scifi" weaponry, does destiny deliver that??
I found one that charged then fired a sort of ball of energy but I didn't like it. Also I definitely found half decent hand cannons 70ish damage.

Does every class have access to the blink ability? I saw a video of the Hunter use it but the IGN wiki has it listed in the Warlock page too.
We don't know yet. Speculation is that there's a variation of it available to each class, but it's tied to the different subclasses in the game.

I'm confused about the Peter votes. . would of been nice not to have it so we could see which class is most popular unless that option is "undecided"

They'd have just been Warlock. It wasn't till that option hit that the other 2 inferior classes started gaining on us. Course you notice we still hold them off. muahahahahahahaha

I know I want to play Warlock in the final release so I can't decide if I should try something new in the beta. Maybe the Titan. Who would choose hunter!?

Maybe I'll just try the new Warlock subclass.

Warlock definitely has the least agile jump. you could double tap it quickly to reach the max height, but you have to commit to that. With the hunter, you can jump once and jump again at any time before you land, which gives you more options. The Warlock glide doesnt add any vertical lift if you delay the second press and it is too slow to use openly, which makes it fairly ineffective around enemies. the glide + nova bomb combo was good though, especially against vehicles.

Of course, all this can be upgraded to an extent.

Cool, thanks for clarifying that for me! It'd be cool if one of the variations ended up playing similar to the teleporting in Shadowrun. Granted, that might be wishful thinking since I'm sure it'd be a pain to make sure all of the levels/maps could support that sort of traversal.

Nope, we've already had confirmation that Blink doesn't go through walls like it did in Shadowrun.

So any idea what classes/subclasses are good PvE?
Being a old wow player I'm especially interested in the end game stuff.
Love playing tank or support classes.

There's no traditional roles like WoW, but the Titan has the best armour even though there's no tanking, and the Warlock has some Buff/Reviving abilities in the Firesinger subclass.

Havok posted this in the last thread:

Titan
Fist of Havoc (Striker subclass, Arc element)
Ward of Dawn (Defender subclass, Void element) - the bubble shield. No known details about this past the obvious - it's a big purple shield. Possibly named Void Barrier - sources differ in naming.

Hunter
Golden Gun (Gunslinger subclass, Solar element)
Arc Blade (Bladedancer subclass, Arc element) - AOE melee super - some videos show character pinballing between enemies, others show character doing a sweeping melee with an accompanying AOE.

Warlock
Nova Bomb (Voidwalker subclass, Void element)
Radiance (Firesinger subclass, Solar element) - buff ability; revives self and/or teammates, boosts power or weapon damage (maybe both?)

Ordered the LE, and I have absolutely ZERO idea about the game......So thanks a TON for this info.

When trying out the other classes after I decided I really liked the Hunter, here's what turned me off from the other two:
1. Titan was too slow and felt cumbersome. Despite some of the comparisons to the Master Chief, this class certainly doesn't feel like him. You can't be a ninja.
2. The Warlock's jump bothered me a lot. It felt like something I had little control over. Yeah, I know about hitting X/A to end the jump, but I prefer something that allows me more...accuracy, if that makes any sense.

I don't remember ever seeing yellow health bars in pvp for enemies' super.

Me neither, but I played 2 Crux only. Why is the 'super indicator' important?

I mean, what does it adds to gameplay? From my POW it is noones damn business to know have I got Super or not. Making it visible would only result in targeting 'supered' players nonstop.

Or am I missing something?

Doesn't matter when you have:
- Focused Control: Upgrades Glide for better directional control while in the air
- Focused Burst: Upgrades Glide to provide an initial burst of speed
- Blink: A short distance teleport that replaces Glide.

I don't like this part of the interface. It does not make it obvious that you can/must select one out of three upgrades.
Perhaps it doesnt make it clear that you can move around your choices or only choose one, but at least it doesnt lock those choices (until you choose to). A few sentences somewhere in the UI should rectify that, but it isnt too difficult to learn after some time with the focuses.

I saw people more confused about finding that menu in the first place, and especially the weapon skill trees.

That doesn't doesn't solve my initial complaint of it being too inaccurate. It's also not as easy to handle due to having to press A while in the air if you want to get down, which makes it a bit clumsy. The Hunter's jump is agile, accurate, and precise. Precisely what I need.

Edit: I wouldn't want to glide in battle. I'd want to jump.

I played Hunter in the Alpha, but now I'm so torn about whether to try Warlock, Titan, or stick to getting used to the Hunter in the Beta.

Blink sounds so good. I wonder if it will be better than triple jump.

I used the Warlock glide to hover over doorways with the shotgun when I saw enemies on radar. They never knew what hit them. :P

I think it was pretty useful. Not for straight up combat, but a little subterfuge..
