...well, things have not gone as I expected. As someone who really likes Xenoblade, and has yet to play Fire Emblem
BUT was also dissatisfied with the leak seeming to reveal everything; I really don't know how I feel any more.
Yay for Captain Falcon I guess! And this Robin fellow looks fun. I liked him enough in the demo I played of Awakening.

I'd consider Villager male, WFT female, and Robin male if we had to put them in one or the other given that their initial introduction used those genders respectively.

Pre-Ike, I had to continuously hear for months about how he would replace him and gain his moveset, which was gloriously proven to be untrue.
And then his beat down and subsequent knock out from roster potential by the good ol' Captain, just makes this entire situation delicious.

I'm probably alone on this matter but I'm starting to witness a palpable disjuncture between characters with cartoony proportions vs those with more human/real ones.
Peach and Rosalina look so out of place there and the same applies to the male crew.
I know that in a game like Smash proportions mean shit but it is starting to look weird.

Does it have to be Wii U? Level 5 have done a ton of 3DS stuff, so a Layton trophy wouldn't be a shock.

the one animation that stands out to me the most is the one where shes fighting link i dont remember marth doing a move like that at all)

I do think it's more likely she's a separate character, but a case can be made for her being an alternate of Marth, and not only because she looked similar in the trailer.
Was it pointed out yet that Robin's tomes have a different color? And it they seem to be related to the attack red = fire, etc.
So I wonder if it's something he can replenish and throw away. Like Turnips.

I'm excited to play as Lucina and if Isaac isn't in I think Lucina will be my main.
I don't know why people act like every character they wanted in has been officially deconfirmed whenever new characters are announced. -__-

"b-b-but she had a question mark..." So what? She had a splash screen, an entire page of screenshots like every other newcomer, and every Nintendo PR source available right now is calling her a newcomer. Yes, she has a similar moveset to Marth. She's probably a clone. Who cares. Lucina is in Smash!
I for one salute the impressive amount of man hours (heh) Nintendo put in to make so many playable female characters.
On a different note, next stop more rough and tumble Street Fighter 3 Makoto types and female villains please. We're at our quota of nobility and dainty/classy types.
Medusa and Captain Syrup would be excellent villain picks but what female bruisers does Nintendo have? I'm having trouble thinking of them.

Yoshi had a splash screen too lol. There's really nothing to compare it to because we've never had an alt costume of a different character before, and we haven't had a clone newcomer for this new Smash before.

Yeah if you don't like Fire Emblem, awakening won't change your mind.
The thing is that with custom movesets attacks are a lost cause for speculation. I would rather focus on movement animations.
That does push her being her own character but I could speculate that she has her own page because unlike all the other alt costumes she's not simply the same character gender swapped or something.

friend of mine (sound source of information, I know), Captain Falcon's stance with that punch in the trailer is absolutely expert (unfortunately, his punch in the game isn't as excellent), to the point where if he landed a square hit, in real life terms, the punch could have killed.

This is a little off topic, but I mean I played the demo and it still didn't click for me. I don't understand how I'm supposed to get any use out of the non horse people when the horse guy is the only one who can get to the enemies, and the game threw like a million things at me straight away. Too many different views of stat screens showing different stuff. I played the one that was an ambassador game too and just couldn't get into it, kept dying trying not to finish a level with like six casualties. It's a shame cus I liked the charecters and stuff. I can see why today's news makes fans happy.
