Any chance the DS4 controller will work on the PS3 version of Destiny? I know it works for quite a few games currently. I just hate using the DS3.
I'm pretty sure it should work and also should work wireless now though!

Sounds like beta starts you off at level one going off the article someone posted. Also sounds like a new strike will be in. Just because they said they wanted to withhold some surprises when the strikes question came up. Unless the surprise is a/the raid. Which is extremely unlikely. I would think raids would need to be beta tested the most out of anything though. I'm still gonna give that a 1% chance of happening haha.

Here in the England It was a bit of a "lesser of two evils" decision. Germany (who continually knock us out of tournaments) or Argentina (Maradona, hand of god etc...).

I went with Argentina because Messi is just so beautiful, but I knew Germany would win because as a team they're just incredible.

Won't work for NA digital preorders yet. I imagine we will be able to once the store is updated today. If not today then we probably won't get a beta preload.
You can create an EU account on your PS4, pre-order, get the code, download it and then cancel the pre-order. And then play it with your US account.

Now that we've had a poll for the classes I'm really curious about what race people will pick. That's more unpredictable I think.
I first got the impression that Exo's were gonna be the least played race, but then someone mentioned "Terminator" and all I saw was red eyed Exo's. So yeah, I get the feeling that many people are gonna go with Exo because they have a "badass" feel to them.
What do you guys think?

Half-tempted to play as an Exo Titan for maximum badass points. They'll definitely be the least played race though. It's usually Humans dominating the majority in these games.

I went for Germany. Purely as a football fan you have to appreciate the team they've built up. No individuals just a fantastic unit. They're just leaps and bounds ahead of England on the international stage.
When Neuer rushed out and kneed that dude in the jaw I was thinking it would be another Schumacher 1982 moment. I think the Titan has the same special move in Destiny

I'd be gladly surprised, but I doubt it. Especially Europa.
Customisation options for humans in Destiny are so minimal though. It doesn't feel like there's a great range you can build upon.
I definitely felt more fun customising my Exo, despite there being less options than humans.

Yeah I get this feeling as well. Humans are often picked because they are easy to relate to, and Awoken somewhat represents elfs and those kinda traditional races that have very beautiful appearance.
My guess is expansions and Destiny 2 and 3 we go to these places. I'm actually interested as to what will be available on September 9th as far as how many locations and planets we can go to. I'm hoping there is more to Earth then just Old Russia.

Yep you can tell this was filmed along with the footage Inside PS put out before the alpha even came out (when the press circuit happened).

Still disappointed in the race choices...we get Human(that's fine), we get a robot human, and we get another race that's human like in the awoken.
Yet the enemies are so diverse looking. We get zombie things, non-human look alike robots, and 4 armed alien wielding swords and guns. And whatever the Darkness will look like.

I think we can all agree on that, we would all love to see some more diversity in the races to choose from. Let us play as a non humanoid pls!
Maybe we'll see a new playable race down the road with one of the larger expansions.
Example: new planet explored, new race tied into campaign and boom, there's your new playable race.

Just watched the destiny companion vid. So nice looking! I love the cards too... I like the idea of offloading a lot of the UI heavy features like stats and rewards/quest logs to an external device. Hope it works as seemlessly as they show.
I love the idea of Destiny being this big thing you're apart of at all times and you only sit at the playstation when you're gonna do missions and stuff.

Known: getting the white PS4 bundle for the sexy hardware, so I'll be playing the beta on PS3 and then 360.
Unknown: should I trade in my bundled PS4 copy for a Xbone copy to play with my XBL friends? Depends on Digital Foundry's beta analysis. If there's parity I'll get the Bone version. If PS4 version has better performance, friends be damned, I'll lone wolf it.
