Destiny will be the only game I play on it, unless they put Crash and Spyro in the next All Star game or something.
Technically yeah, but it will be a fucking nightmare for me if everyone holds out. Plus it's much less likely that people will actually donate towards the end of the beta as they may look at their stats and think there is no point.
I was hoping people commit to a donation early, then have fun working towards one of the competitions for the duration of the beta.

I pre ordered there as well and sent then an email asking after I didn't receive one. They replied saying they were not doing that promotion only the .com was. 4 days later I got an email with a beta code.
Hopefully you get it.

.Why? I could imagine it being like the Bubble Shield from Halo 3 - You can fire out of it, but enemies can walk into it and shotgun-blast you in the face.

I've been playing BF4 again and I remember when I was playing the Destiny Alpha, I was accidentally tossing grenades when I thought I was spotting for teammates.

lol, I pressed R1 in BF4 trying to melee.
Can't fire out of a bubble shield.
Also if you can fire out of that bubble I can see it being one of the most annoying things ever in PvP. That's like Armour lock levels of fuck off.
Welp, that's how long it's been since I played Halo 3.
Do we have any official word on how big the exploration zones are? For example, how big is Old Russia? How big was it in the alpha for those that played it and was it all accessible or was it just a portion of the full map. I remember reading a interview from this thread saying that each one is the size of GTA V. This sounds like a lot so I'm questioning if this is true. Especially if you consider that there several different zones (Maybe more than one on each planet?), that would be a truly massive amount of explorable area.

Well Old Russia is damn large. I found a lot of the edges while out in Explore during the alpha - it's a lot of going through buildings to get to other areas. If someone has said that it'd be roughly the size of Los Santos I wouldn't disagree with them.

Sorry, thought it was like a regen effect. I would alternatively guess that teammates you save from the brink of death will generate orbs.
Since the highest number of Orbs of Light I've seen dropped from a Super has been 4, I could see that it'd be something 3 kills from inside the Bubble per Orb or something like that.
I remember creating 8 in the Alpha. I was a warlock though obviously.
Apparently Europe is the only region getting a preload from the store version.
If you preordered in any other region PSN you're probably going to be stuck downloading the Beta the same time as everyone else.

I'm sure this has been answered at some form, but what class did there seem to be the most of during the Alpha?
Depends on if they introduce new enemies over the course of the games. Or allow us to visit the Vex homeworld. Or show the Darkness as a physical enemy.
The possibilities are endless.
They're upgrading the site to include all the Destiny-specific stuff. Companion app should hopefully be available in the next day or two as well.
