Don't go solo

I started off playing solo. I enjoyed it. I was mostly just walking round the map taking in the sights but I had a lot of random encounters with other players which was a lot of fun. The best one was when I came out the back of a building onto a ledge and saw a bunch of bad guys beneath me and one player fighting them. I sat up there firing down while the other guy flanked them and we wiped them out. Then I went on my way. That pretty much sold me on the game

Yep, PvE > PvP for me too.

You have 3 slots waiting to be filled by Hunter, Titan and Warlock. Play the three during the beta and you'll come to the conclusion Hunter is the best.

I agree, I think Destiny can be enjoyed solo. You may not get the same experience as playing with a team but sometimes being a lone wolf has it's merits. For example I wouldn't really join a fire team just to level grind. That's something to do alone before meeting up and comparing loot in the tower. Playing with randoms and meeting strangers is also great fun.

Snowbound was Odd ball and just getting both bubble shields and going out of the zone and using them to protect yourself from the guardians!
