Yeah I'm really hoping we get something acknowledging ALBW such as a stage and music. Its my favorite Zelda since Majora's Mask so I hold it in pretty high regard.
A real question that I hope has no flame wars happening on this thread, I just want to be informed on both sides of the fence so I know what I'm getting myself into. I am buying the game on release, that's for sure.
Now the question, is the competitive community still on the fence about Smash 4? I understand it doesn't have wave-dashing or lag canceling from what I've heard but what else is keeping it from being "Melee 2.0" for some people? Just curious to see what people say so I can form my own educated conclusion on the matter.
Also, is it true Sakurai responded "Have you ever made a game before?" to a competitive player when asked if he could be on the team to help him out with the game? I understand Sakurai's wants to envision Smash 4 as his game and make it the way he wants to but it wouldn't hurt having some people are who are leagues beyond better than him at the game so they can squash any bugs/tactics in the game that might come out later on in the game's lifespan, unless patches/DLC's is something Sakurai is interested in.

People are taking a wait-and-see approach to Smash 4 for the most part, which makes sense.
As for the "have you made a game before" comment, the actual footage sounds more like a joke than it was initially reported as.

Well... Although not my pick, there's still the LoZ trophy tease Sakurai pulled that could signal a newcomer!
We got the Almighty Cucco in this game. That alone makes me satisfied from a LoZ representation p.o.v. =]

That makes a lot more sense. When I heard it from a couple friends, it sounded like Sakurai was insulting the questioner's intelligence... Glad to hear that.
Yeah, I listened to the audio and I don't think Sakurai was putting down the guy who asked to help balance the game. I actually think both sides were joking, including the competitive player.

The number of Ridley jokes, arguements, discussions, debates, images, fakes, leaks, etc. itself is too big. This Ridley list itself is too big. The temporal separation between us and Smash is too big. The hype over this game is both non-existent and too big. Everything is too big 0_0

Holy crap, I completely forgot that items could also be upgraded in ALBW to be more effective. This character could be crazy if Sakurai could figure out a way of implementing and balancing the Rupee/Rental mechanic right.
I doubt anyone would play that stage then if they have to buy their own moves.

I was beginning to think I was the only one missing it.
Anyway, I'm thinking we might see Lucina or Robin's FS tonight, but I fear they'll be filler-y after Robin's being shown at the end of the trailer and Lucina being a Marth clone breeding fears it's just gonna be "Critical Hit" with Awakening's close-up bar like Chrom's in Robin's FS.

That's not really a bad thing, though.
We actually know about more stages now than we did for Brawl before its release, though double the games makes the comparison iffy.

...Is it wrong that I now kinda want a King of the Hill mode in Smash now?
I don't really see ALBW Link getting into Smash since there are already two other Links on the roster. Not to mention it would be odd to have one Link that plays entirely different from the other two. Ravio having to rent his own items would be a necessary evil.
Besides, we already have Robin in the roster who is limited by how often he can use certain attacks.

I really would like to know too. I want to know the deal behind Mega Lucario if it's not his Final Smash.
It'd be cool if Lucina's in it, we haven't seen too much of her in the 3DS game

The internet is a vast and wide place.
In all serious, I have a couple of image boards that I go to on a regular basis that tends to post Nintendo/Smash images on a regular basis. I also go to JP sites once in a while.
