*aims tranquilizer at prodigy's neck*
he would just be another link clone
But seriously though, it would definitely be pretty cool to have him in. I'm kinda doubting that A Link Between Worlds will get much content in though :/
your aim is probably as good as your Street Fighter skill
*zing*
Oh man, you just made me realize I could've yammed up the "you make" part of my line for a TRIPLE COMBOThis thread... Yamaking me laugh too much X]
A real question that I hope has no flame wars happening on this thread, I just want to be informed on both sides of the fence so I know what I'm getting myself into. I am buying the game on release, that's for sure.
Now the question, is the competitive community still on the fence about Smash 4? I understand it doesn't have wave-dashing or lag canceling from what I've heard but what else is keeping it from being "Melee 2.0" for some people? Just curious to see what people say so I can form my own educated conclusion on the matter.
Also, is it true Sakurai responded "Have you ever made a game before?" to a competitive player when asked if he could be on the team to help him out with the game? I understand Sakurai's wants to envision Smash 4 as his game and make it the way he wants to but it wouldn't hurt having some people are who are leagues beyond better than him at the game so they can squash any bugs/tactics in the game that might come out later on in the game's lifespan, unless patches/DLC's is something Sakurai is interested in.
Yeah I'm really hoping we get something acknowledging ALBW such as a stage and music. Its my favorite Zelda since Majora's Mask so I hold it in pretty high regard.![]()

Oh well
No Sakura is Sakurai in an alternate dimension where he is a woman.
She makes super bash sisters.
ribbing aside:
People are taking a wait-and-see approach to Smash 4 for the most part, which makes sense.
As for the "have you made a game before" comment, the actual footage sounds more like a joke than it was initially reported as.
Yeah, I listened to the audio and I don't think Sakurai was putting down the guy who asked to help balance the game. I actually think both sides were joking, including the competitive player.ribbing aside:

I mean let's be honest, Sakurai probably thinks we're all idiots
But it's a benevolent sort of condescension, like the loving man who keeps tricking his cat into jumping at a mirror
Don't ask, you'll end up on the other side of the internet wondering where your night has gone.....
He's not wrong. How many "Ridley is too big" arguments have there been on here?
It is time for the real King of the Hill to take his spot.

It is time for the real King of the Hill to take his spot.
The number of Ridley jokes, arguements, discussions, debates, images, fakes, leaks, etc. itself is too big. This Ridley list itself is too big. The temporal separation between us and Smash is too big. The hype over this game is both non-existent and too big. Everything is too big 0_0
I've had too many oreos tonight...
Ah, the Other Side of the Internet. The primordial lands, where it all began.Don't ask, you'll end up on the other side of the internet wondering where your night has gone.....
Alternatively, Ravio could be featured in a stage on the 3DS version where you fight on the hill outside Link's house. Like the Golden Plains, you have to collect rupees. Every character's specials are on loan from Ravio and when they're KO'd their specials are returned and you must cash in your rupees to rent them again!
this is dumb why would ravio need to buy his own stuff
this sounds amazing, maybe could still be used for another character like Tom Nook if he's added in Smash 5?

Where's my red shell return?

But they'd play a character who has to rent items from himself? :-OI doubt anyone would play that stage then if they have to buy their own moves.![]()
Idon't reallyDEFINITELY wish I had the photoshop skills to make a Ridley/TOO DAMN HIGH mashup of him saying that =]
I wouldn't mind stages staying secretSakurai definitely needs to step up his stage game.
Games are almost here and most stages are unknown.

lol, as long as you recognize how odd that isI don't really see ALBW Link getting into Smash since there are already two other Links on the roster. Not to mention it would be odd to have one Link that plays entirely originally from the other two. Ravio having to rent his own items would be a necessary evil.![]()
So do we know if the 3DS tourney coming up will have any more playable characters or will it be the same as the E3 roster?

It'd be cool if Lucina's in it, we haven't seen too much of her in the 3DS gameHoping for the former, expecting the latter.

Ah, the Other Side of the Internet. The primordial lands, where it all began.
It was eons ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday, or the day before yesterday.
The ebb and flow of time shaped and reshaped the shambling darkness of the Internet, and from the marbled vapors arose a single stone.
Nourished by the Five Elements -- Hype, Super Hype, Excite Hype, Hyper Hype, and Yet More Hype -- the stone became fertile and birthed an egg, which hatched a creature...
...which rolled down the hillside rather clumsily, and made squeaky noises, and smelled kind of funny.
...and that creature really liked playing Smash Bros.
